  1. Midlands MXT575 Mounting ideas???

So wiring directly to the battery would have the same problem? I don't recall a single person mentioning this in all of the MXT275 reviews I've read and watched. Maybe this is standard operation for most radios, and people just shrug it off?
  2. Midlands MXT575 Mounting ideas???

Thanks, @FatRat250 I like the clean look and having everything centrally located and somewhat easy to remove!
  3. 12" touch screen - how to remove side tile area?

Only works to expand the Ford nav to full screen though. I'm usually running Android Auto / Google Maps, and cannot remove the right side tile, so I have to settle for showing other mostly useless information there. Ford nav w/side tile Ford nav full screen Android Auto w/side tile (no...

    Bay Area Broncos

Had a great time at HH on Sunday with @bman3000 and one other Bronco. I'm a first timer, so my heart was racing in the first 15min and I winced at the first sounds of metal scraping, but I was amazed by what a stock Bronco can do. I couldn't have done it without friendly, experienced folks in...

    Bay Area Broncos

Thanks! Any more details about meeting time and location? Total noob here, so I don't have a portable air source, GMRS radio, etc. Hope this is okay, or I can try to borrow something from a friend before Sunday.

Interested, but not on FB. Appreciate any details that you can provide. Beginner friendly?
  7. BAMF Overland front winch bumper

I asked BAMF this question directly, and they recommend installing the winch at the time of bumper install because of how tucked the bumper is. It could be done after, but would essentially require taking the bumper back off.

I'm in the Santa Cruz area and don't make it out to Fresno much. If I do, I'll message you to see my twin!

    Central California Broncos

I recently dropped by Lotts Auto Stereo in Santa Cruz after pondering audio upgrades, and decided to replace my stock non-B&O system with: Focal PS 165 FSE tweeter (dash) + midbass (kick panels) separates Audiocontrol LC2i Pro line output converter JL Audio MV1000/5i amp with DSP JL Audio 8"...
  10. BAMF Tailgate reinforcement

I'm guessing this is because BAMF and others are designing their products for 35"+ tires. I'm also on OEM Badlands 33" tires and had trouble with antenna brackets contacting the tire in roughly the same location. The companies making the brackets claim that they work with the standard factory...
  11. Kicker Key Amp 200.4 Install DIY Video - Do this first!

100% agree! Why is no one considering using a line out converter between the factory head unit and the amp? This was non-negotiable for the shop that upgraded my audio system. We used the Audiocontrol LC2i Pro to feed a clean signal to a JL Audio 5-channel amp with DSP...
  12. BAMF Overland front winch bumper

@armandom - The BAMF bumper and your color matching looks dope! Nice BD lights all around too. BAMF has been running 25% off sales, so last month I ordered my bumper - with the bull bar - and I'm excited to pick it up as soon as it is ready! 🐂 😁

Just finished an audio overhaul with Lotts Auto Stereo in Santa Cruz, and I'm very happy with their work and the final product. Replaced the base front speakers with Focal separates - tweeter in the dash, midbass in the kick panels. JL Audio 5-channel amp with DSP and an 8" JL sub box. Plan to...
  14. Mini Sub Install

If you have power seats, there is no room. Manual seats look like they could fit a WeBoost or GMRS or amp or very small sub.
  15. Hood struts: which ones to get?

Great points! Not lost on me at all, after installing the other product. I was definitely nervous when the hood became fully disconnected after removing the two mounting bolts. I appreciate the desire to create standalone brackets, but the Steeda hood mounting locations are not ideal.
  16. Rear seat back protectors - Are they all the same??

The main panel is at least the same, even from Mabett, so its safe to assume they are all coming off the line from the same mega factory in China. Maybe different assembly lines install Velcro in different locations and box them with different company names, but the core design and materials are...
  17. Hood struts: which ones to get?

Thanks for confirming. I'll give Steeda a call on Monday, but it looks like this is getting returned for something that works with no mechanical interference! Side note: The phone number printed on the side of the struts is JWF Technologies in Hamilton, Ohio, so it will be interesting to see...
  18. Hood struts: which ones to get?

@Steeda we have a problem. Same setup as @Murraydog11 and the hood will not close. Uninstalling until I figure out what is going wrong here.
  19. Hood struts: which ones to get?

Wish I read this about 30 minutes ago! I installed the Steeda struts per the instructions, and immediately noticed something was wrong. I'm glad I didn't slam the hood, or there would have been some damage @Murraydog11 - Do you still have any interference with the hood when closing? It's hard...
