So wiring directly to the battery would have the same problem? I don't recall a single person mentioning this in all of the MXT275 reviews I've read and watched. Maybe this is standard operation for most radios, and people just shrug it off?

I asked BAMF this question directly, and they recommend installing the winch at the time of bumper install because of how tucked the bumper is. It could be done after, but would essentially require taking the bumper back off.

Great points! Not lost on me at all, after installing the other product. I was definitely nervous when the hood became fully disconnected after removing the two mounting bolts. I appreciate the desire to create standalone brackets, but the Steeda hood mounting locations are not ideal.

@Steeda we have a problem. Same setup as @Murraydog11 and the hood will not close. Uninstalling until I figure out what is going wrong here.
