  1. 2021-2026 Bronco Equipment Install Guide from Ford

Truely, you're the hero Ford doesn't want us to have.
  2. 2024 Trailer Tow Kit (New Ford Accessory Part)

How does that work? I just talked to my dealer, and they gave me a rough estimate of "a couple of hours", and their rate is $190/hr.
  3. 2024 Trailer Tow Kit (New Ford Accessory Part)

Sweet! Now... do I want to do it or have Ford do it....
  4. 2024 Trailer Tow Kit (New Ford Accessory Part)

I do have wiring for a 4 pin. That came with the trailer hitch kit. I have your post bookmarked for reference from back in 21' when you did the write up. Things look like they've gotten easier since then.
  5. 2024 Trailer Tow Kit (New Ford Accessory Part)

I have a 22' Base model. I had my dealer install the BRONCO 2021-2024 TRAILER BRAKE CONTROLLER TOWING, but when they installed the OEM hitch, they said there was no 7-pin. Well... the guy at the front desk said there wasn't one. I wasn't able to speak to the actual mechanic. I got the...
  6. 2024 Trailer Tow Kit (New Ford Accessory Part)

So I should only need the module itself? I have the 7 Pin connector, hitch and brake regulator.
  7. 2024 Trailer Tow Kit (New Ford Accessory Part)

The brake controller plugs into the harness but doesn't do anything without the module in the rear and the harness that runs from the module to the 7 pin connector. I do need to pull off that panel and see what's there, but I haven't gotten around to it yet.
  8. 2024 Trailer Tow Kit (New Ford Accessory Part)

RagnarKon, do you think this kit would fit the 22? I already have the brake modulator installed (by the dealer) and the the hitch. I know I'm missing the module and the wire harness from the module to 7-Pin. Or do you think it would be cheaper and easier to just get the wire harness and module?
  9. Red Dog Tools Question...

That's a decent-looking set and not horrifically priced. But I wonder what the 13/16th is for?
  10. Red Dog Tools Question...

    That's good to know!
  11. Red Dog Tools Question...

Oh gods... I've been looking at the Overlander Toyota kit for a friend of mine who has zero tools. But the tools direct from Tekron are ~$800. And looking at that set, it looks like an expanded version of what the Bronco would need. And I want her to have quality tools that she can feel good...
  12. Red Dog Tools Question...

True, but the new tool doesn't carry the same lifetime warranty.
  13. Jeep Wrangler 392 to be killed off

If the issue is CO2 output of your fleet, and again its the fleet under CAFE and not the individual engine or platform, can't meet goals given a decade prior then you have vad engineers, buisness models and planners. Again the EPA did not ban the 392. It did not ban the V8. They set 2026 goals...
  14. Jeep Wrangler 392 to be killed off

Alright, then cite the EPA regulation that is "killing off" the 392. Or the EPA order to Stellantis stating the 392 had to be abolished. Yes, it's a class 2A vehicle, so it falls under the LightVic CAFE requirement, but that average is fleet wide, which is how Toyota has the 4Runner with a...
  15. Red Dog Tools Question...

    Maybe.... maybe.....
  16. Red Dog Tools Question...

Yeah the lack of BOM is annoying. Overland Outfitters has a kit for the Toyotas made of Tekron tools that runs a ~1k. The tools themselves are ~800 from Tekron and the roll separately is ~200, so they're pretty on the nose. I'm just looking for a Bronco-specific toolset. I already have my...
  17. Jeep Wrangler 392 to be killed off

The EPA isn't to blame for this. The 2024 392 costs 94k for a base model in an economy where most people can't afford to buy a house. There's just not the market for a large number of them. Hell, they only sold ~12k in the initial model year, and luxury items like these have a very limited...
  18. Red Dog Tools Question...

Thanks for the info on Gearwrench! I used to be a Craftsman girl but w/o the old warranty 🤷‍♀️ I'm really looking for something to do regular maintenance and lite modding. I'm familiar with his kit, and as yet I haven't done any overlanding or placed my tierods in more danger than a Costco...
  19. Red Dog Tools Question...

Has anyone gotten the Red Dog Tools kit for the Bronco? I see they use Gearwrench and Steelman Pro, and I'm not terribly familiar with either brand, but they don't list the actual tools in the kit. Are the quality of the tools? Is the kit a one-and-done or do I need to pack additional tools...
  20. Built my own Skid Plates

That's quite a wood shop you have there. Everything looks to be Delta grey. Explains the use of the small machinist square.
