Finally got around to installing the Smittybilt HD Pivot Tire Carrier and the awful tailgate noise/rattle is completely gone! That in itself makes every penny worth it! Took me about 2 hours and had someone help me hold the bracket to the tailgate while I hand screwed everything in.
The whole...
I just ordered mine this past week from 4wp and it came in yesterday. Going to try and install it this weekend and will report back.
I had an annoying sound coming from the tailgate every time I hit a bump from my heavier wheel and tire package. I have read through all the forums checked...
Haha I know it is not the ideal lift for everyone but I just daily drive mine and it does the job and I have no issues with the ride. If he has the hoss 3.0 wildtrak and doesnt intend to do a ton of off-roading I think that would be a good setup.
What year wikdtrak? If you have a 2023 and hoss 3.0 then I wouldn’t upgrade those to different shocks if you are just planning some mild off-roading and want to fit 37’s. I would go with a perch collar lift. Will give you plenty of lift for 37’s for daily driving and mild off roading and is very...
Chemical Guys has some of the best youtube content around for washing your car. Everything from the two bucket method that has been mentioned above to wax and polishing. Dig around on their website and their videos will also list out what things you should buy...
I have an outerbanks SAS, 2.25" RPG perch collars and 37" tires and have no issues fitting in 7' parking garages. I park in garages daily and believe the lowest I have tried was 6'9 or 6'10 which was an older garage in downtown Austin.
I have a 2.25" RPG perch collar lift and 20x10 Fuel Rebels (-18 offset) on 37x12.5x20 Nitto Ridge grapplers (Outerbanks Sas 4 door). To get rid of all rubbing you have to do the full JKS max tire clearance kit. So far I have just removed the plastic pieces which got rid of all rubbing for daily...
I have the 2.7. Still has plenty of power and feels good driving around the city or on the highway. Definitely lost between 1-1.5 MPG going to 37's on 20's though.
I still want to eventually add a ford performance tune and a cold air intake to get a little power back. I currently have a pedal...
I was told Smittybilt is coming out with something similar to this mid May. Curious to see how it compares to this one and what they use material wise. I used a Smittybilt one for my 2016 jeep and it was great.
I am anxious! I have been running with no spare and don't like the look as much as I thought I would. I don't want to throw a 37" spare tire on until a solid tailgate and hinge reinforcement kit comes out. This looks promising and priced properly.
That is expensive! I assume that is wrapping the entire vehicle including all the door jams. You can probably get away with not doing the door jams and only wrapping the roll bar so when you remove the top it still looks all one color. In my area it is about $3,500-$4,000 to do the roll bar and...
I have visited Leif Johnson and checked out a couple of their "Saleen" broncos. They also have a few Saleen F150s as well. It is true that Saleen Performance Parts moved their HQ to Round Rock, TX back in late 2020 which is only 30 minutes North of this dealership. So I do believe them that this...
Did you get the Metalcloak trailing arms installed on one of the broncos? Curious how those perform as I may buy a set along with the rear track bar! Look forward to some more feedback/reviews on everything. Appreciate the time you put into all the research here!
How do these UCA’s compare to the stock ones for maintenance? Also how quiet are these? I have read that some aftermarket UCA’s will squeak/make noise over time.
I have a perch collar lift and looking at getting an upper control arm as well as the rear control arms. I was looking into EVO Manufacturing as they make some good kits for jeeps and was curious if anyone is running their bronco kit...
UPDATE: Added after pics of RPG Perch Collars (2.25 front and 1.25 rear), 20x10 Fuel Rebel -18 offset and 37x12.5x20 Nitto Ridge Grapplers. I am extremely happy with how it turned out. The pictures don't do it justice, it is way bigger in person. Looks like a tonka truck. I was really worried...
