I remember reading. The explorer/ aviator platform is going to be the go-to RWD platform for suvs and cars. The next gen mustang and possibly continental will utilize it.
I already stated before, 99% certain this is the 2019 australian ranger raptor chassis. *edit* But with the 5 link rear they are going to be using.*edit* The overhang of that frame does not match the departure angle we gather from the bronco under the sheet. the IFS was danced around quite a...
Ive wheeled both ifs and sfa in basic stock configurations, they both have advantages. Obviously a solid axle was very robust, but the ifs did have more clearance. Ground clearance is more tire than anything else. That being said.... aftermarket support for solid axles blows ifs out of the...
Length is subjective. who knows what all they stretched to fit the chassis. door openings look stretched, so do the fenders and hood. *edit* So do the rear quarters.
Don't forget, this really can be a ranger chassis. The 2019 ranger raptor specifically. It too has a 5 link rear. I wouldn't mind IFS for a daily driver and all. but if they want to even try to step in the ring with jeep, solid axle is the only way to go. Just for simplicity sake of modifying it.
Honestly its nice to take a break. But the timing is terrible. My birthday is in three weeks. So my birthday present was supposed to be a new toy for the garage, which is not in the cards anymore. Then Christmas is in what, 7 and a half weeks? I was hoping to get my kids a few things they really...
Thanks all.
I worked in injection molding, unfortunately uprooting is not an option. As both my parents and my in laws require assistance. Luckily my wife is a state employee and makes decent money. We should be okay for a little while. Worst case scenario I will have to start over with a new...
I'm in michigan, so for me, its instantly silver lake sand dunes. That or one of the off-road parks. But, an unfortunate twist of fate may have changed my plans. As of today, I am laid off, indefinitely. Recent cut backs have cut into all departments at my now former employer. The sad part is...
It would be perfect. A leg up on the competition for sure. On the 4 door. Making it removable and third row seats removable, 2nd row folding. You could easily haul some large items. Or throw an atv in the back.
*edit* personally. I wouldn't have carpet. A truck bed coated floor would be ideal...
Honestly with so much going on with tailgates in the truck world. I could see a top opening window... and a tailgate that both drops like a pickup and swings open like the jeep. Kinda like the rams new tailgate, without the split.
I planned on waiting. Lets see, 18 months before they hit showrooms. I'm looking at 30 months from now, long enough for demand to settle down and bugs to be worked out.
I mean,I could be wrong I guess. But could be modified logo that somebody snapped a photo of and it just got used by chance. or they eliminated the "sport" writing to eliminate or cause confusion. lol
But that photo of an EB with that emblem, it lines up exactly the same on both versions. So I...
The "Bronco Ranger XLT" was available on the 78-79 bronco's I know for sure. My dad had one. Not positive on other years, but the lettering looks like late 70's through 80's models.
