If I don't take delivery of the Bronco by Fall of 2022, the "matter of principal" tips the scale away from ever dealing with Found Off Road Dead... forever.
Instead I'll wait on one of these:
next gen 4Runner....
next gen Fghey...
Or just bite the bullet and invest in a killer toolset and sat...
They look great!
Any chance you could haul one of those 4 doors off-road. I'm looking for a slider that blocks mud/rocks from hitting the door panels. Or, at least, blocks the majority of the stuff those tires through off.
If you know and trust your dealer (i.e. no history of nefarious behavior to reservation holders) then call and ask what your options are... Assuming you put $1000 down when you placed your order....and would like to see that money refunded, they might be willing to work with you.
I'm reserved...
Don't want to sound harsh but you were notified. We were all notified from Ford directly on the actions being taken for open orders. If you failed to reach out to your dealer, the conversion to 22MY was one of those default actions. During the actual order process, most dealers asked for more...
I've only seen the 'rendered' and Ford.com pics of Hot Pepper Red. Has anyone seen one on the streets or in on a YT channel?
Also, has anyone received notification their order is being fulfilled (in that color)???
Very sad that she died.
Unfortunately for her, mass wins... always. You can lobby and advertise all you want about efforts to improve safety, but you can't change science...
Glad it all worked out in the end and that the dealer made good on their commitment. Although I feel Ford needs to be a better liaison in these issues. Other national brands hold their franchises accountable to corporate customer satisfaction policies and standards. e.g Chick-fil-a, Craftsman...
Can relate as my wife leaves every mirror pointing at herself mostly everytime I get in my Ford 4x4....Not something I have to contend with in other vehicles (Cadi, BMW, et at)
In the Bronco, I'll just have to deal with it. In my case its a purpose built vehicle I'll use for overlanding...
Have you seen the build you just described in these 30+ pages of content? Not sure what top you spec'd.
I haven't seen a 4D Lux Sas Badlands softtop with a post day-one or day-two reservation in this thread but admittedly did'nt read every post...
If that's the case, they might be sticking...
Reminds me of the 1970's era NHTSA laws that required Lambo, Porsche, and Mercedes to add bumpers as they were imported into the USA...
only slightly detracted from their looks..... <sigh>
Tata Motors (Land Rover parent company) out of India? And built in an eastern block country (Slovakia)? Really? Good luck with that.
Do you have a good relationship with AAA in Canada?
JK. Just messing w/ ya. Enjoy your ride.
First mod to my impending Bronco delivery is a 60% back seat delete. Probably going to use Goose Gear but the custom job you did looks great.
My trail dog Vizsla, Bodi, is gonna love it.
Thanks for replies. With your help, I found the PCM and related modules listed in the PremiumCare packages offered by Flood. It looks and smells like the actual Ford product... which is good because:
Dealership service departments are extremely busy these days... Thus, when I called them to get...
I never do extended warranties and in the aggregate, over the years, I've made out well doing repairs myself.
However, in recent years its become more difficult to trouble shoot proprietary electron modules. And, in my experience, these are what are failing most often. My Explorer has like 6...
Resale? Wildtrak will have more exposure and thus opportunity for more potential buyers and likely higher resell than an equivalently equipped OBX.
e.g. I can outfit a Jeep Sport to the same specs as a Rubicon with factory options, (at least I could when I purchased mine) but guess which one...
Motortrend??? Didn't they pick the Dodge Neon as the car of the year way back when???
And their SUV of the year for 2022 is the Genesis (rebadged Hyundai). Tiger Woods, known for his excellent driving on the golf course, couldn't keep that vehicle on the road...
There is clearly bias in MT's...
