  1. Bronco R Race Prototype Revealed for Baja 1000!

No, I don't get passed on the trail. In rock crawling, had you ever actually done it, you don't race up the rocks on multiple lanes. The obstacle is the obstacle and that's that. I either get up on it or i don't. I can tell you the solid axle jeeps will go up much gnarlier stuff than side by...
  2. Bronco R Race Prototype Revealed for Baja 1000!

Not sure what jeeps you've been around, but I can tell you my long armed cherokee will absolutely go where my canam x rc will go... and much further. My rubicon was not even a contest against the x rc, even stock, let alone when it had a minor lift and 37s on it... The maverick x rc is one of...
  3. Bronco R Race Prototype Revealed for Baja 1000!

If the "race" one is boasting a whopping 14" of suspension travel, not even up with most side by sides... Maybe Ford needs a pic of jeeps crawling on eachother's 37s. If it is an IFS, then this truly is another FJ. Not gonna slap big tires (37+) on a factory sheetmetal one like the wrangler...
  4. Spied: possible Bronco mule seen testing in Detroit

Yep. They said they want to compete with the wrangler... well, it has to have a solid axle then. If they put an IFS in it, it'll compete with the FJ cruiser... or rather it'll compete with the wrangler as well as the FJ did.
  5. 7.3L for the Bronco?!!

a 7.3 bronco would have to be all white, and have a bigger gas tank. would dub it the OJ package.
  6. Spied: possible Bronco mule seen testing in Detroit

if it does indeed have an IFS... I'm buying another wrangler or maybe a gladiator. If it does have a solid axle, I'll be the first one at my dealership putting in an order. i'm not too worried about looks or what engine/tranny it has in it honestly. There's not one Ford engine that would...
  7. 2.3L Ecoboost only?

Aerodynamics are a big part of mpg. If you want big wheel wells for big tires, that's gonna cost a lot - it's also why the wrangler has the coeficient of drag of a parachute. Big wheels and tires are heavy; and the farther the weight is from the flywheel, the more it takes to spin it. Even...
  8. Ford Bronco defined: What it should be!

Price tag under 15000 in today's world isn't gonna happen. MSRP on a fiesta S with the keys wheels and floormats edition is right at 15k... As for 30mpg in something with solid axles and a transfer case... not gonna happen; except maybe with a small diesel engine, which I wouldn't be opposed...
  9. Am I the only one...

I would love a troller as is or with just about any of the F150 engine choices... As far as can it take on the wrangler... I'm not convinced by that video, having owned a 2 door rubicon; I'd love to see it tackle some rocks and not just a hill climb with no ruts and some mud piles... The...
  10. Most Important Bronco Design Features?

Where's the solid front axle option? Without that, it'll be just another FJ flop, where you can lift it 2 inches and then it's done. If Ford wants to take on the wrangler for capability, they can do it from the factory with an IFS... but people don't buy wranglers to keep them 'factory'. When...
