So the NH rodeo was a blast. It was all rock crawling with some mud. So not high speed stuff like Las Vegas and Texas. The guides put a nice tour on and they did an excellent job with the food spread.
To be honest I felt like that it was the only place where the trucks were really pushed to the...
O yeah passing on the highway was 5th if I didn’t need to hurry, or 4th when I wanted to boogy.
And that’s unloaded minus myself and maybe a couple other items in it.
Towing a small trailer and it def knew it was back there
It seems to be better geared with the 6 speed manual. But yeah I miss my 4.0L 6 speed a lot (had a better sound to). It’s always the case with Toyota being reactive and not revolutionary I feel like
Like the new info system is leaps ahead of the 4Runner and that’s the only reason why I would choose the Tacoma for local drives cause of the apple car play (our Runner is a 2018) otherwise we choose the runner for long legs
Yup it’s the loss of a bed and reduction in towing has been on the fence. I feel like the towing reduction is mainly due to the rear coilovers. So not sure if going to a Timberen bump stop will get over the squat situation.
I know the 2.7 and even the 10r60 could handle 5,000lbs
So my fit/finish gripe on the Tacoma is the front grill seems poorly mounted with a lot of give.
There is a creak somewhere in the B-pillar, but the worse one is on the steering wheel, the plastic on the left creaks. Which is of course where I hold it the most haha
For my commute it works...
Yeaaahh wish I had the money for a tremor super duty, but def to much of an overkill for me.
I noticed on the 21 Tacoma a lot more fitment issues then I had on my 2015 and even 2010 Tacomas. I feel like their decision to move all production out of Texas was a bad move
Yeah the stick is fun, but the Mrs doesn’t do well with it so kind of trying to do the adult thing and go back to an automatic.
So with the NH rodeo we never went over 30mph cause it was all mud and rocks, but honestly beat the crap out of those things for 10 ours and I wasn’t even sore and...
So I do have the Tacoma in a manual which seems to help the gear hunting situation.
The addtion of the power seat has helped, but I do have to say it only gives it an additional hour on the road until your uncomfortable
So my big thing is I’ve always put up with the normal Tacoma/4Runner short...
Hey guys!
So after two years I finally have a build date (tentative 5/30 right now). Well ever since I put my $100 down a lot has happened and ended up changing my order a couple times based on some life events.
The last plan was to ride out my F150 lease and go with the Bronco, but I decided...
Some photos and assessment of the New Hampshire Off Road Rodeo from 9/25
So got back on Sunday from the New Hampshire Offroad Rodeo. Have to say I was very impressed with how well Ford put everything on. So with NH it is a little different in that you aren’t in the middle of a desert but on a...
Im Probably one of the few people that the move to Maine is actually more of an inconvenience. The Vermont location for me was close enough I could drive up the same day, partake and head home.
Vermont would have been great, but there are locals there that are so stubborn they don’t allow...
so going to my Ford account it says It’s an order now. I have an order number and it says “in store order”
So what I don’t have is a build sheet confirming everything yet.
Now the part I don’t know if my dealer still had allocations available versus yours hence why mine worked and not your guys
So I just got off the phone with the dealer I’m going through. Since I reserved it after the initial order window it doesn’t generate a notification on their end to call to start the actual order process.
Went over the build on the phone and emailed them my options so he’s converting it to an...
so basically call up the dealer to see if they can take the order versus wait to see if they’ll call?
It’s a small/local dealer and we’ve bought a few vehicles from them, so they are easy on prices
i think for my situation I put a reservation in after the order window was closed.
but yeah i get the point on there’s no way putting in an reservation now means you’ll have to wait till 2023
I look at it that Ford has this engine (or variants of it) in a lot of different vehicles so I would like to assume part support will be there for a while
i get you there!
This one is going to be my vehicle so it’ll be a manual. I’m sad to not be able to get the 2.7 with the manual. But watching the test drive videos it seems like the 2.3 actually has a lot of get up and go, and I know there’s a few tune companies out there for the ranger that...
