I've done this in my jeep and takes about an hour or so, depends if you are clever enough to do it without taking off the bumper. Then another time, I replaced the bumper and it came with the receiver, but it also used the hitch mounting points for the bumper as well. I expect those of us with...
I was never worried about my JL soft top in Florida. It does get a little loud during those heavy rainstorms though. I liked the simple operation, but after my rear mechanism broke the second time I just left it rattle. As for heat, yes it gets hot, but the AC seemed to handle it ok. My JK...
I'm only a few hours north, and I would prefer cloth. I had the ivory perforated cooled leather seats in my lexus and I still sweated horribly everywhere I went, especially with the top down.
What I think would be neat would be an adjustable version. Normal position like this, then it can be lowered so it sits off the cargo floor 4 inches. Gives security and flat load floor in one step!
I had a mini remote and I would stuff it into the padding on the roll bar driver's side in my Wrangler , then just pushed on the button to the left of head, instant homelink!
some of us live in states with high dealer fees. I was recently looking at a gladiator and the dealer doc fee was $999! With X-plan I think the dealer fees are capped at $100. So while they may charge a little more, in total cost it can be less!
Ohio has/had a maneuverability test that mimicked a lot of the skills in parallel parking and had some strict requirements. It was more difficult to pass than when I had to parallel park in Florida. For that one I had an early 70’s Buick century and I told the examiner that my car is longer...
Those rear seat brackets look huge. I would prefer to take one of those seats out to get the extra space. Yes, the cooler, tent, chairs, bag of towels, portable shower bag, etc...starts to eat up space and no I don't want a 4 door!
If you have an accident and get it repaired and as long as you can save your receipts to show that it was repaired, no big deal. My JLU got hammered with hail, had to replace the hood, other pieces and pull many dents out of the doors. The windshield header still had some dings. The lease...
That's what I'm hoping I can do, at least take one out for a little extra space and longer area for some equipment. Then leave one in there for the "passenger"! My friends element allows this and it is great whenever we move stuff and generally just leave the seats out!
I have this one and have used it many times. I like it. I have the deluxe one that locks in to the receiver and it tilts just by pulling a lever. I haven't moved 4 mountain bikes, but I have taken a heavy beach cruiser, road bike and kids bikes with it and it worked great
