@Buckin' Bigfoot They are using Goodyear Wrangler Territory MTs. I have zero experience with these. I highly recommend Falken Wildpeak MTs or ATs. They have a great ride and traction. I've got ATs on my Wrangler and MTs on my Raptor. Both have been good for me in Colorado snow. Both also have...
MTs are not always bad on snow. There are been numerous improvements over the years to make them quite good. For instance Falken Wildpeak MTs are very good on snow. These are the tires Iāll be putting on my Badlands.
And boy those Colorado registration fees will kick you in the balls.
Of course some folks have been registering their cars in Montana to get around it but the state has been cracking down.
The one pictured was 58K but there was another Sarge Green for 55K.
I could have just gone to another dealer but frankly this got my wife off the Rubicon train for a while. She's back onto waiting for the Rubicon. That waiting is the biggest risk in us not buying one. We've been really...
Weāre planning to trade in our modded Wrangler Sport for a Badlands, but today my wife needed to get the oil changed so she took it into the dealership to get it taken care of and found this:
I admit, Sarge Green is pretty damn good looking. Any with me being an Army Vet, I was tempted. But...
Scared wouldnāt be the right world to use. This is just a normal competitive FUD that any brand would release against a competitor. Its just sales and marketing.
I think this is simply a situation where Ford is testing a potential option and hasn't yet made a decision on whether or not to offer it. My gut tells me Ford WILL offer this as a dealer installed option just like Jeep does. It makes all the sense in the world for them to do so. For me...
$11.5Billion for electrics worldwide. Thatās the Mach-E along with the electric F150 and Transit Van. A good chunk of that money goes towards battery development where all manufacturers are way behind Tesla and trying to play catchup.
Ford probably wonāt recoup the investment on the Mach-E...
Thatās not happening anytime soon. I didnāt like Hackett as CEO but that is one correct call he made. Cars will eventually come back but not until the crossover trend has passed.
Iād say that Hackett was actually fairly spot on with his strategy in getting rid of cars, focusing on Crossovers...
CAFE regulations may have something to do with it. Even though theyāve been rolled back by the current administration, you can expect the next administration to push forward with higher standards.
Also, there is the CARB rules out of California. Those definitely impact decisions as well.
I guess thatās the first draw back Iāve seen. My iKamper X-Cover RTT weighs 120lbs. With me and my wife inside that comes up to 420lbs but that doesnāt count any gear weāre carrying.
Itās disappointing but not a deal breaker. Someone in the aftermarket will do something about it.
Yup.
I can crawl up some fairly steep rock faces if I come in at an angle and get a single tire on the rock. Removing the bumper wings allows for that.
And yes, it is hella cool. :D.
Has anyone verified the ground clearance on a Badlands with 35s?
Also, I'm getting super jealous. I live in the Denver area and I never see these damn things. Not even on the trails.
EDIT: One other thing, the more I look at the Bronco, the more I appreciate how well thought out this vehicle is.
I'm not likely to even consider this. I have a 2019 Raptor and love it. I wouldn't go with anything any smaller. I also think there will be compromises like the Gladiator has.
I'll be happy to get a Badlands Bronco and either keep my Raptor. I may trade it for the next get F150 Raptor or a...
