My boss has a Subaru. I think there is some sort of Kool Aid served when you buy one. He often brags about how great they are and except for the two transmissions that were bad, he really never had any problems.

I had the ’69 convertible out today and I waved classic stang style to a 2015 convertible and got a nod back. I didn’t know there was a change in protocol. Maybe it’s because people think incorrectly that the wave is a Jeep thing.

I don’t know when the Jeep crowd laid claim to the “wave”. The classic Mustang crowd has been doing it since I have been driving one, going on 33 years. Yes, I am old.

I think they will change the date if starts to get negative reactions. There really is no way to put a positive spin on those events and it’s in poor taste to use it for publicity. Move the reveal up or back a day with a short statement about it being an unfortunate coincidence and move on...
