I read to page 3 and decided to weigh in. OFFROAD, do you plan on going to larger than a 35" tire? I have seen a lot of complaints/comments on the lack of bottom end once heavier meat is applied.
I was the biggest liter they had back in 2017 when nothing was known. 14 years of rowing tractor...
Oh, I get that. I just like to voice for us stupid bashers out here.
I love to hear "I'm keeping my bronco forever". I'm keeping mine till the body starts ripping from frame flex... then it's time to sell that swayback nag to the glue factory!
Completely moved this to the 19th as it is only me going (and my ride along). It is going to rain heavy Thursday and Friday. it is going to be a wet, winch-fest. I will be running the swampers!!
I get protecting it but non access (my knees are shot so hiking 50 miles in is out) I like managed access; hell, I don't mind the idea of this trail is closed 10 years while the forest recoups. But the idea of the only access is deep forest backpacking is not one I subscribe to. I guess if you...
Badlands, they are too low on squatch, 37's are too low once the arms are armored. I've banged all of it up underneath in the rocks. Got the ultimate axles coming as i have broken 3 fronts. Going to 39's or 40's Will be putting ranger raptor arms on rear is widened 4 inch... necessary no, to use...
you can buy the 3.73 gears and the locker from dana and have them installed. It would cost around what a 220 rear in 4.46 would cost.
However, if you abhor tall tires then this might be your best bet. If you are not going to lift, I think you'd be better served with a winch and belly skids.
True, but the 220 is just a metric dana 44... good up to 35's with harsh use (I'm running 37's on mine but I have the UFD and the Ultimate rear coming in a 4.88) I have broken 3 front axles (although I say the first was not my fault).
