Interesting, I got mine at Bob Utter and the process couldn't have been smoother. I did not finance through them, but nothing was ever pressured or misleading. Maybe something changed?
This is just my temporary setup, have another radio on the way with a detachable faceplate so I may end up putting the body in the glove box or something. That JCR mount in another option too
Nope, no cutting or drilling. If you pull that bottom panel open, it just swings down. Theres a metal piece in there, not sure what it’s for but I just took it out and stuck the radio to the bottom of the column. Once you close that panel back up, it squeezes the radio just snug enough not too move.
Exactly, I forget its there half the time. I noticed there was a bunch of space underneath the steering column (after that metal bracket is removed) so I threw some velcro on the radio mount and just stuck it underneath. Those rubber flaps really sandwich it in there so it doesn’t move at all.
I do like them, very crisp and loud. They rattle those plastic speaker grilles though, so use plenty of deadening or baffling. I ended up just taking the grille off temporarily until I can get more in.
Current set up;
AudioFrog GS42 4"
AudioFrog G60S 6-1/2"
JL Audio XD600 6-channel Amp
AudioControl LC7i
JL Audio CP110-W0v3 10" Sub
Dash and pod connectors provided by @flip
Everything fit. I currently only have tweeters in the dash where the 4" speakers used to be using a custom mount.
Received my seasonal Tactile Turn pen today and thought I’d share. I don’t know what it is, but I’ve become increasingly interested in pens lately. I've always liked them, but I find myself perusing more and more sites of personal pen collections. Curious to see if anyone here collects or likes...
Did a solo 3,800 mile road trip last month. Why? Just bored and I like driving. Drove from Dallas to CA, up the coast to San Jose, and back to Dallas. Think the longest leg was about 15-16 hours. As mentioned here, RedBull, snacks (for me sour candy as it kind of jolts you awake), gum (so your...
