It is definitely a short enough length, I guess I would just rather play it safe, although it is nice to keep as few wires littering the engine bay as possible and fewer potential failure points. Do you think long periods of use will increase risk of overheating the wire?
I know that auxiliary switch number four (brown wire) is fused for 10 amps but I feel that the size of the wire that is being used by Ford is not sufficient for 10 amps of current. I don’t think it’s even 18 gauge. Maybe I’m wrong. If it was me, I would use a switch fused for at least 15 amps...
Super scary! I’m so sorry to see that, and I’m very glad no one was hurt. I hope insurance treats you well. At the very least this gives a you a chance to change any model/trim/color options you may have wished you had went with the first time. Best of luck to you.
It didn’t seem that tricky to get them snug against the fenders. I feel like the back snugged up about the same as the fronts. I want to say about an 1/8” maybe less, but it’s been at least five months, I can’t remember for sure. I’m not home right now, I’ll be back in a few days and will take...
I have RokBlokz XL, but should have went with XLL. The first dirt road after installing the XL’s they threw a rock and chipped/scratched my door that was about an inch long. I ended up making some 2” extensions (the same length as the XLL’s). They’ve blocked all rocks since. They look good and...
@Jr87mustang, @Ibuprofen3293
I would think you guys have to be coming up real soon. When I talk to them, they said some thing about doing a batch of them and they were going into powder coating. Hopefully yours are in that batch.
I’m sure I’ll get roasted for this, but ….
Actually, I think it’s way more rude to have large aggressive tires with no mudflaps, flinging rocks at random vehicles then it is to place something harmless and complementary on someone’s vehicle. JMHO:oops:
@GRENDIZER
Yes, I would think so, when I talked to them earlier this week, they said I was the oldest order and they were doing everything they could to get them out the door. I already received my crossmember skids and my pinch weld covers shipped the day before yesterday
I feel like anyone who is sticking that on a bronco has great appreciation, and would be super respectful when they’re placing it and make sure not to cause any damage. I wouldn’t have a problem with it.
