I don't think fuel tank skid is standard equipment on a Bronco except maybe Raptor and 1st Edition. The tank skid is part of an optional package. My 2023 WT had it but I optioned for full skids also. The OEM Ford parts skid system mentioned for $830 includes the fuel tank skid and others...

There are much better plastic clips that are easy to remove. The Ford ones are poor design.

That would be true if you had no BMS or you setup the BMS wrong. Neither of which is possible with the batteries in question.

Yes it protects the front of the hood from chips. That's pretty obvious. The primary purpose is to deflect small rocks and bugs from hitting the windshield. It does that very well.
