Just picked up the 1/24 SCX version for my son. I think the Traxxas version looks better, but the local hobby store was out of stock at the time. This was my first time spending more than $30 on an R/C but it might not be my last. I don’t know if I can afford another hobby though lol.

I also have a similar smell and have noticed it from day 1 when we brought the vehicle home. Currently just over 600miles and still smell it. Chalking it up to new vehicle off gassing… I guess.

Our BL is also A51, haha. I’ll definitely keep an eye out around town. Good luck with everything! Maybe try to take a video of what you’re hearing? Can always post it up for others to hear and/or show it to the dealer in case they can’t duplicate the noise, for whatever reason
