I just don't want this to be a thing where I come out and someone has placed these things on bronco. It drives me crazy that people put these duck things on my jeep. And then there are those that have hundreds of ducks piled on their dash. Aren't their millions of these things floating in the ocean.
I was watching my typical bronco news you tube channels and Johnny just gave some great news on commodities. It looks like MIC top is good to go, locking front axle is good to go and other restraints have greatly improved. Now we may get them with certain functions not working yet, but you know...
How many chips are in the MIC top, the internal structure must be supported by these little silicon bastards because that is the most highly contrained item on fords last list they put out, crazy right. Of course i am kidding, but it does make you wonder.
None of this matters if your 2022 does not get built, no matter when you ordered it. If you get pushed to 2023 at no fault of your own, you are paying the higher price according to the last sentence.
So the last sentence really sucked. If you ordered a 2022 before March 7 2022, but it does not get built, you will pay 2023 pricing. I am a late reservation holder, ordered my 21 after March 19, 2021, switched to the 22 when order banks opened last year with that price increase and if they don't...
If those percentages are true, then this idea that the production of the hard tops is up to 300 a day is just false. So based on these numbers, let's say ford has scheduled 10,000 broncos to be built a month, out of those, 8000 are 4 doors, out of those the take rate for the hard top is 6000...
The video is the Canadian guy, Johnnys Car care and reviews. His info seems to be generally good. But when he showed the screen shot from the current memo showing the MIC percentages so low it didn't make sense.
I am still confused on some of the constraints and percentages. I saw a video where the latest memo showed the constraints on the Bronco.
Wildtrak was 15%, as it was explained that means that 15% of the builds could be Wildtrak, so with a high take rate that means the Wildtrak is highly...
I also got emails last night saying my order was updated. I thought, "no way", and I was right. But at least now my order is accurately represented so that I am at least disappointed that they are not building the correct bronco.
It is amazing that we are at this point in time when the thought of a dealer discounting a vehicle off msrp becomes an issue. It wasn't very long ago that the very thought of paying msrp was just crazy. We expected and dare I say demanded a discount off of msrp or we were taking our buisness...
Its not much different than Granger offering 1000 below msrp and they seem to be satisfied with the profit they were going to make. My build was right at 1000 more.
My dealer called me this morning, said he got an email regarding orders and price increases. He said that the price on the original order for my Bronco is what I'm paying, with or without Ford. I pay for what I ordered at the time ordered it, period. Good ol small town dealer customer service...
My build went up over 1k, my fear was that inflation was going to continue to push it up and that is becoming a reality, there is nothing stopping Ford, or for that matter any of them, from doing this monthly. My order is to late to qualify for price protection so I am at the mercy of time...
We went to the one in Texas, it was really good for a free event. We got to go with the dude from Florida in the 2 door Wildtrak, he actually let us take our time and was fun to talk to. Learned alot and my wife actually got excited about her new Bronco coming, hopefully, later this year.
