Electric off-road sounds fantastic.
A motor per wheel means no more differentials, no more lockers. 400 mile range on the Rivians seems like plenty for most trips too.
Obviously it doesn't work for the overland guys, but for many other off-road purposes it seems pretty sweet.
You know how sometimes you think about what you're going to say, and then you decide "maybe I should just keep that opinion to myself"? No? I thought not.
If I can't fit 33s without cutting I'm probably not buying one.
Still debating if I care about going to 35s, would be nice for snowwheeling in these parts...
You seem to be conflating different groups on this forum, and throwing them all in the same pot.
The general sentiment I see and share is that an alternative to the Wrangler would be damn nice.
Especially if that means better fuel economy and more storage in the 2dr compared to the Wrangler...
Yeah, they don't, but what's important is the image that they COULD.
Plus we're all a bunch of enthusiasts here, so don't be surprised to hear enthusiast opinions.

I really want it in manual, but do a LOT of off-roading. Hmmmmm.
Biggest engine
white removable top
some super obnoxious color
All the off road goodies, Android Auto, as few of the other bells and whistles (ACC, parking sensors, etc.) as possible
Weight to tire footprint ratio, as well as the long wheel base limiting mobility. When the snow is deep, you need to air way down and float on top, so you want light vehicles with big tires and a short wheel base.
I suppose I should qualify that I'm talking about off-roading in 3+ feet of snow...
