You can buy a set of lights and hook them up with a harness that also connects it to the reverse lights in addition to the aux switches (e.g. the 4x4truckled harness they sell for this purpose).
yup, I’ve found this to be the cause for me. It doesn’t help that the backup lights are crappy and more or less point horizontal, vs. aimed down. I have to brake to be able to see anything at night.
Similar issue. I broke and replaced 2 bolts. Couple of tips:
1. Don’t tighten all the way down at first, it’ll make adjusting the lights after install tricky.
2. Removing the end caps makes adjusting after install a whole lot easier. You can use the toolkit with the included Torx plus bit or...
@SuzH Totally! Great place to play around with all kinds of modes and see what happens. There are many opportunities to get comfortable with trail turn assist, and trying different articulation lines in certain sections. All pretty safely.
Had a blast today in the dark! Didn’t take many photos, but there was a Carbonized Grey one there, as well.
Luckily, I had packed my car wash pass, as well!
thanks, @Mikerider for all the work at the event
I think that’s the trailing arm, if I’m looking at the image correctly… connection point for the axle to the chassis.
A sway bar connects left and right sides of an axle to prevent sway.
It's sort of a hybrid, I suppose? Certainly not a block, but you can have a single connector support multiple hookups. For e.g. I have 2 lights connected to 2 aux switches using a single connector. You can choose 2, 4, 6, 8, 10, 12 pin connectors (depending on the wire gauge, different options...
Look into Deutsch connectors, specifically the ones made for 10-14ga wire. That’s how I’ve set up the engine bay with the pocket kit I have. Very well made and easy to add/change wiring.
@Cat lol I was planning to do the same! I just haven’t ordered the switch to do it. We’re you able to find it locally? That FORscan coding part seems fairly straightforward.
Definitely not an expert, but I’ve used it for a bunch of stuff on my Bronco, and similar tools for my other cars, as well. Happy to help or answer questions
Ha yup! I just wipe it every time I start it. Try spraying glass sealant on it to add some slickness to it. Reduces the amount of grime accumulation before it needs cleaned
