Nice report. Thx for posting.
FYI, Max AC uses less fuel, in modern vehicles, as it recirculates already conditioned air...
Not true in the old days, but in modern vehicles, its more efficient to use the Max AC setting once the interior has exchanged idle hot air from a parked condition...
I have a 15 year old frame-less window Mustang that opens a half inch every time you open the door. 15 years ago when I saw that design, i was just as apprehensive as the OP. Truth be told.... It has worked flawlessly every time.
Its a non issue.
The OP, like many, who first see the frameless...
Thanks for that nighttime video. Its such a relief to know there is good road lighting. So many cars are so bad at it....Its almost like they don't test some cars at night.
3.1 mile of actual range of rock crawling in 4xe on battery. AND he had only traveled 1.9 miles when he dropped below 20% charge.. Which means he can no longer do a fast-charge. (Its a limitation of using fast-charging stations) I'm not so sure battery power plants are the answer....
Not sure...
Was hit with an ultimatum... If Im to dump $60k into a new Bronco, I must sell the motorcycles or lose the wife...
I'm sure gonna miss that ole gal.
JK.
The plan was to buy a vintage late 60's Bronco and do a frame off restoration with modern motor, tranny, and drivetrain. I was estimating...
10 seconds? That's fing depressing.
Heck the Bronco Sport and the Explorer (grocery getter) both run in the high 5's.
The Tahoe runs in the 6's and weighs more than the Bronco.
10 seconds is unacceptable. Where is all that HP and torque going?
Something doesn't add up here.
I'm definitely a consumer that chose the Bronco over the 4Runner.
Bronco +1
4Runner -1
And I'm sure since the Bronco has forced Jeep to up their game, I'm sure there are others moving away from the tired 2009 4runner platform.
Good luck with that lawsuit... Is it against the law to make a profit? GM's old Saturn was the most transparent company and had a policy of charging all comsumers the same amount regardless of the actual cost of delivery. They said it made it fair for everyone. ie. the guy that lives next door...
Excellent review. Excited that he gave a thumbs up to all the features that are really important.
Agree completely on the "look" of the engine bay. It should be something to show off, instead its just a mess of wires, hoses, connectors.
Rear roof lift just need a hoist/sling in the garage...
I like the Toyotas too. If I bail on Bronco, it would be for a Toyota. The one thing that bothers me about their line is their platforms are aging... 4Runner is a 2009, Tocoma not so bad at 2015/16. They do a nice job of putting new plastic on the fenders each year to make them look like an...
Good on the OP and congrats on getting the vehicle he wants.
I'm not as willing to sacrifice build changes on anything except that which I can't control.... which is: time...
My guess is February...
My mitigation? .... is nothing.
Just going to deal w/ it. Not going to spend life worried about petty theft. It happens.
This is not an expensive part to replace. Aftermarket Jeep flares are $120 for a set.... I'm sure Quadratec will build some for Broncos in the same price range.
Besides, for...
The EV industry has lobbied and marketed to eliminate "range" as a concern. They've done an excellent job...
However, range is still an issue....
My experiences as a Tesla Model X owner:
- Tesla has a crossover SUV with 300 mile range (which is great, right?) that has a 5,000 pound towing...
I know you ordered both, but consider getting the hardtop first as a blessing. Ordering factory hardtop means you get the wired and plumbed attachments.... Those are skipped on the soft top only models. (for obvious reasons... you can't have a rear wiper, rear washer, defroster, et al on a...
what will I tow?
Bowrider, Waverunner, motorcycle trailer and... yet to be purchased: a light weight overland trailer.
Like campers, many overland trailers are overbuilt with accessories that jack up the price, size, and weight. I'll likely build custom or find one that is < 1,500 pounds. Only...
Didn't everyone with a reservation have to place a non-refundable deposit? Mine was $1k.
So, if you're willing to walk away, does that mean you walk away from your deposit (or buy another vehicle from the same dealer assuming they have a policy to transfer the deposit)???
