I figure when the Russians inevitably come pouring across our northern border and their missiles are homing in on body-colored door mirror caps and the glare off of shiny hoods, I'll put my WT in the 7th GOAT mode and high tail it across the open desert. #GoWolverines #Freedom
Your deflector looks good -- do you like it? I've got the full sized 4-door BA rack with no deflector and am trying to decide whether I want to add it. Usually the wind noise isn't bad, but sometimes with a strong crosswind it gets noisy, and I'm not sure if the deflector would help.
If you get a Jeep tomorrow and your Bronco gets built a week later, will you be OK with that? Conversely, if you don't get the Jeep and the Bronco takes another year, will you be OK with that?
I was originally looking at Rivians and Tesla Cyber Trucks. The former is barely ramping up and the...
Same. Especially if rain clouds roll in and the Bronco is at the far end of a parking lot. I'm guessing Ford's legal team would never sign off on the potential liability of somebody injuring their kids accidentally.
After owning a Rubicon for years, my concerns are (in order):
Rain
Bird poop
Somebody throwing a milkshake in the seat
Theft
The last two never actually happened.
The bird poop issue is easy to measure: however many times birds have pooped on your other cars is about how many times they'll...
Agreed. Folks tend to overestimate the role of the equipment relative to the role of the user. Same is true for skis, mountain bikes, race replica motor cycles, etc.
Not to mention that Ford's legal team wouldn't want to sign off on any kind of rating. It was probably hard enough for Jeep's...
I've got a MyQ and I love it for phone-managed access, open/close from anywhere, Amazon Key (in garage delivery) support, etc. I recommend pairing it with a garage cam and/or some level of security for the garage/house door.
Until I paired it with the Bronco's integrated garage door opener, the...
I just purchased a 8yr/100K ESP from Grainger for precisely $2,360 less than my dealer quoted me when I picked up my Bronco. I used Ford Pass points, which saved me an additional $310.
Your math is correct, but I don't believe the battery will need to be replaced in 8 years. I had a BMW X5 PHEV that I drove in all-electric mode for almost all local driving, and after 6 years the battery had no discernable drop in range.
I was wondering if there are any good FORscan alternatives. Aside from not wanting to put money in the Russian economy at the present time, there's a pinned thread on the FORscan forum talking about how yes Windows 11 and myriad antivirus programs flag FORscan as a potential virus/trojan horse...
When I did it on my Jeep (top, fender flares, rock rail, bumpers), it looked really good and it was easy to wash. You can see the Rock Slide Engineering cut out on the bumper under the passenger side headlight is a bunch of narrow holes, but the coating didn't plug it up.
After 3 years (1 of...
OK, this made me laugh out loud. Perhaps we can agree that your ability to discern somebody's political persuasion based on Bronco features is on par with your understanding of modern engine technology?
The first vehicle to use start stop was the Toyota Crown in 1974. 2022 - 1974 = 48 years. I...
You're absolutely correct. Even building a fab that's a mirror image of an existing one would be expensive and time consuming. And some of these fabs may make products that are necessary for the US economy, but not necessarily what automotive manufacturers need most. For example Micron typically...
