I have the 33's on my Badlands and it is more than capable. Completed Fins and Things out in Utah and Cinnamon Pass in Colorado with 0 issues. I am considering 35's when I need new tires but it is definitely not necessary, especially in Florida.
With all the whining about "Brand recognition" and want for an identity, don't forget the first modern Bronco to hit the roads was this:
Now this should have been called the Bronco Warthog...
I have a 2-door, so I'm not sure what yours looks like in that area but, I had some tapping going on so I tightened the bolts to the bracket the freedom panels attach to and the sound went away. Something to try, anyway...
I bought this one and have been very happy with it.
ALL-TOP Air Compressor Kit, 12V Portable Inflator 7.06CFM, Max 150PSI for SUV 4x4 Vehicle RV Tire
I use a key to air-down, however, but because my keys are always with me, I can get started while everyone else is getting their fancy systems...
I know it has been awhile but I'm mid-job on this. A question arose while installing the isolator wear plates for the hard top (fig 32-36 for those following along at home).
When I look at the tremendous gap formed by the plate (compared to without it), I notice the plate seems to be resting...
That is the ultimate gamble.
Warranties are designed to earn the seller money. So the odds of needing it are not in your favor. However, just like insurance, if you need it, it is a good deal. I have gotten several extended warranties in the past and have never needed it.
For my Bronco, I...
Welcome. Nice color and I love the 2-doors.
Is that a stock photo? I ask because you mentioned Badlands but that isn't the trim level in the picture...
I like stories with happy endings.
FWIW, I'd leave the case open and let Ford close it. It would be good for them to find were the problem originated and who knows, maybe that could lead to a change in procedure.
The only Toyota I have ever owned was my first car - a 1980 Toyota Corolla 4-door.
It ran, was dangerously slow, and boring as all get-out. Fast forward to me being able to buy my first brand new vehicle. SUVs were a growing thing and I liked the idea of the outdoors lifestyle. I looked at...
Since it is a Bronco, a 2-door was a must. I mean, who would want to buy a 4-door Corvette, amirite? ;)
Colors - well Ford screwed the pooch with arguably the worst color palette you could get - 5 shades of gray, black, white and then 4 colors I would actually consider:
Fauxrange, bright...
Only issues I had (and why I didn't buy anything) were storage room and wanting to buy stuff I needed.
After 14,000 miles, I knew what I definitely needed to continue to do what I wanted and what I am still on the fence about.
Reaction time is the deal-breaker for me. Average reaction time is 1.5 to 3 tenths of a second. The ASS feels like it takes forever to turn on - although even if it takes 1 second that is more than 3x slower than the average reaction time.
Plus it freaks me out when I arrive at a light, and...
100% this.
I have had my 2-door Badlands since December 2021.
In those 14,000 miles I know what I actually "need":
Winch
Rear bumper
Diff cover
Shock skids
rock slider that can double as a step
roof rack
I used the wait time to save up and plan on buying a ton of stuff over the next 2...
My wife and I climbed into the back of the 2-door when we attended the Off-Roadeo in June 2021. We climbed in fairly easily given our ages (we have college kids) and our heights (under 5'10 for both of us).
Having our 2-door for almost a year, overweight and people with leg-weakness have...
2.7 has been around since 2018 - in production for 4 years.
2.3 has been around since 2015 - in production for 7 years.
If you want an anecdote: My 2.7 has 13,500 trouble free miles.
