I never had issues with my swaybar disconnect. Yeah, had to do it on flat ground, gotta realize the amount of bind it's under if it's not flat... Maybe your connector has gone bad and lets water in? Mine didn't have issues in the 3 years I had it.
If only 30% of your fan base buys your hyped...
Did they ever put speed compensated volume in the wranglers? That was my biggest gripe with my 2012 JKR... Get on the freeway with the top down, crank up the nav, get off the freeway and stop at the stop light: TURN LEFT NOW! (at all 600 watts or whatever the Alpine system had to offer)...
Almost?
Every conversation with a toyota person goes like this:
Why do you like toyotas?
They're good cars.
What makes them good?
They're very reliable.
You do realize they are pretty much the record holders in number of recalls right?
That just shows they care about their customers.
Recalls...
You're basing that assumption on the old mentality when they used to offer the 5.9 in only the top trims... Nowadays you can get all 3 engines, including the diesel in a wrangler sport, starting under 40k.
Not at all. I'm saying Ford will sell these based on the image that the few that get modified and do offroad will portray. Yes there's other types of offroading, no doubt about that... but correct me if I'm wrong, did Ford set out to steal sales from the Raptor or the Wrangler?
I'm a...
Lol.
1. F150 was designed from the ground up to handle a v8...Yes. Jeep had to reinforce the frame because their v6 engine has 260 ft lbs of torque. The 2.7 and the 5.0 are very comparable in that aspect. You guys don't get to claim the 2.7 has the same power and that you'd need 10 grand...
Oh, I fully agree with you, I was just poking fun at the responses on here. The FJ never got that following - the image - because well, they were a pain in the ass to lift and get that image out there of what could be. Same with sports cars and everything else for the enthusiast...
*cough* let me channel the fanbois:
What percentage of people go offroad? Huh wise guy? This will handle way better and be more comfortable and get better fuel economy on the road where 90% of the people will drive them!
You can't make this shit up...
How does a 30 grand bronco end up 65k with a v8? In the F150, the 2.7 is a 1000 dollar option, the 5.0 is a 2000 dollar option. Let alone a "10-20k premium". And they use the same transmission...
The n/a v8 is much harder to work on than a twin turbo v6? Do 2 extra coil on plugs confuse you...
I'm not complaining with math. I'm pointing out that your "more fuel efficient" engine ends up costing you the same over the first 150k miles.
The 6000 dollar upgrade was to address the "oh, you can make more power with an ecoboost". Yeah, a tune, downpipe, intercooler, good to go. You're...
If you design a vehicle percentages of people who do xyz activity, you'd end up with a beige toyota corolla.
This is supposed to be an enthusiast vehicle that, according to you guys, its main claim to fame is great at being used in a non-enthusiastic manner.
Fantabulous.
From the offroading videos I've seen of the bronco so far, and that awesome 2-3 inches of flex, the bronco is that flop. Wait for the hype to wear off the bronco, when it'll be judged offroad, and the same thing will happen.
Gotta love how you used the least powerful n/a v6 to compare to the 5.0... How about something closer in power, and since we're talking about offroaders, 4x4?
All of a sudden that difference isn't that big... Keep in mind the 3.5 is a 600 dollar more expensive option over the 5.0... by the...
I like how everyone acts as if coyotes can't get a turbo or blower and those only ever exist on ecoboosts. Yeah the ecoboosts are easy to get a little bit of hp with a tune out of... but if you wanna go fast, they will not keep up with the coyote after 500hp...
And as for mileage, I've owned...
It was another wrangler competitor... you know, one that had a great classic name and reputation from a solid axle past... That came back with an IFS, better handling and more comfort... Do you truly believe the only reason the FJ failed miserably was the fact that the top didn't come off?
Those same people who don't give a damn about the suspension dynamics, would have zero clue about what the suspension looks like or handling differences between two 5000lb suv's. I like how people act as if wranglers go down the street like a pinball machine because omg, solid axle can't...
You didn't get used to it after the malibu, monte carlo, impala, nova, buick regal and every other pile of shit wrong wheel drive car they brought back to disgrace a one good name?
What it'll tow and what it's rated for are 2 different things... it'll probably move 10,000 lbs better than an early 90s f250... but the fact of the matter is, at 3600lbs if you get in a wreck, your insurance is gonna take one look at it and tell ya good luck.
Remember our arguments? Now you understand my disappointment - and we're far from the only ones, albeit for a few different reasons.. I was looking to retire my XJ for good, but nope...
