  1. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

Thank you! After 5 pages, this answer finally is the first that makes sense. Are you at SAS? I'm #8 on their list. Hadn't considered the effect of '99-ers with earlier reservation times, but now I see that a model year changeover could push my Day 2 reservation back if enough Day 1 people are...
  2. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

Good point Good point. Everyone get off this stupid forum and go hike the Appalachian trail!
  3. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

No. You couldn't get a '26 a month away from getting a '22. But you could get a '23 a month away from getting a '22. It's good there are people like you who don't mind buying at the end of the product year. Dealers appreciate it!
  4. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

Yes. The book INNUMERACY: MATHEMATICAL ILLITERATENESS AND ITS CONSEQUENCES by John Allen Paulos is a good read. And US Treasury Series I bonds are a good investment at a guaranteed 9.62%, assuming you have $10,000 you don't mind tieing up for the 12 months.
  5. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

You are correct in that! Reading through responses on this thread, I now see that being an F&I guy at a Ford dealership would be a sweet gig...
  6. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

    I'm seeing a $700 difference over 5 years of financing $50k.
  7. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

The difference is nearly $3000. KBB is easy and quick, but feel free to check Mannheim auctions if you have an account. The post was inspired by the number of posters who are upset they may be moved from '22 to '23 depending on which week they are scheduled - effectively a $3000 difference for...
  8. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

100%. Resales of the 2.7 builds from the early years will likely be regarded inthe same fashion as Porsche Boxster/Caymans from the IMS bearing failure years, even though only a limited range of Porsche VINs were determined to be affected.
  9. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

That's easy, then. There is basically no choice involved in waiting for a Day 1/Day 2 2020 Reservation, other than just forgetting about it until the call comes!
  10. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

Definitely worth more at resale...if comparing an August 2023 build MY23 to a September 2023 build MY24 with all else being equal. It's why in "normal" years, dealers discount "end of model year" unsold vehicles. Anyone buying a 2022 a month shy of the turnover at the same price as a 2023 is...
  11. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

That's a really interesting point...the same way 1974+ American cars are known as belonging to the "malaise era" of early smog controls and detuned motors in response to the gas crisis. Who knows how long the "COVID era" of auto manufacturing will last?
  12. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

If that's the case, then I can see why folks don't want a '23. Is there documentation that this disappears for original '21 reservation holders?
  13. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

No, I'm wondering why people are upset their '22 may become a '23 if they're in the next week's scheduling. Doesn't seem to make financial sense.
  14. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

Which would you rather have to sell right now?
  15. Interesting that folks would prefer '22 over '23...

For those Day 1/Day 2 reservation holders (like me), I understand that it can be seen as another egregious slight to have their 21 reservation turned into a 22 reservation, and then the possibility of their 22 becoming a 23. At this point, if you're currently unscheduled (like me), just...
  16. Depressed and Frustrated (WARNING: Reservation Rant inside)

Seeing some Broncos on the road means nothing. It's like seeing some baby formula on the shelf.
  17. What have you heard? Will all current orders be built before the start of production of the 2023 model year?

They can't complete the manual transmission builds until they find workers who know how to drive them off the assembly line. ;)
  18. The Plan & Offer - Stephens Auto Center's Mid Atlantic Bronco Connection

Well, thank you, I appreciate that, although there are 7 units ahead of me, and no indication whether they're 2 or 4 door, or what model they are.
