I first noticed these awhile back when vacuuming the interior, small rubbery pieces or chunks of something like weather stripping or dense foam. I have found them mostly in the front around shifter, on dash, front seat, floor. A few days ago I found some on my legs on commute to work....
Maybe...
From reading the diagnostics info from the shop manual it appears that ELD voltage range is 4.71 to 5.29 volts, and high current DTC is set at 4.6 amps or greater for over 50 ms.
Given this info and the results of applying 12 volts directly to the coil, current / inductive spike it would appear...
Thats good info, My Ultrahook should arrive today and I have not had a load on the rope yet, after watching the videos I ordered the spool and fid from Factor 55 so well see where I end up. I already had issues getting the thimble through the fairlead and had to hammer on it.
I would not say there limited, I have several running various tasks ranging from from alarm / snmp monitoring that sends text to phone to using a model 4 as a desktop computer.
It is going to be a more long term project, The manual HVAC module does not have the components stuffed on the board for heated seats / steering wheel so I am waiting correct one from eBay, also sourcing the two sizes of female pins to add wiring for seats into HVAC module, then comes adding...
Well, here's a twist. I had read somewhere today that when programming the APIM it sometimes needs to be power cycled more then once, I am sure I had done that earlier today when making changes, jump ahead to just a bit ago wife and I hop in to go to someplace, black screen for what seemed like...
Interesting, I was just trying using the noun name functions in APIM / HVAC modules . Mine has the Manual HVAC and smaller screen so it may be the manual control is the issue.
I lucked out and got someone else's canceled order, great in some ways but not in others, like heated seats...
I do...
After changing settings with no success, I tore into the dash, no heated seat wiring at the HVAC module C208B. But on the bright side there is an unused 30 amp circuit down at the drivers kick panel so back to original plan...
It does not appear that the smaller screen changes when Forscan...
The $$$ I spent on factory manual / wiring diagram paying off....
I have not confirmed how much is actually there yet, but fuse 38 and the brown/red wire going to C200 in drivers footwell are there. Next step is to see if a basic HVAC module has components for heated seat via programming...
Have you actually applied these settings?
My 23 has the fuse and wiring to HVAC controler / connetors at kick panels for heated seats but manual HVAC control panel. This might be easy way to get heated seats...
