Wow, there are more trees in your 2 short videos than in all of SW Idaho. We get brush rash. Seriously though, I haven't had more than dust scratches yet. I will do what I can to avoid any bad ones but it will happen and though I will be sad, I won't cry (much). Also, I have learned not to...
Most items like this are shipped to the dealers by the vendors. When they arrive is based on vendor inventory and has nothing to do with the vehicle availability. It is very possible that these things arrived much earlier and were misplaced by the dealer. That being said, they should have a way...
Back in March of '21 I changed my reservation to another dealer without a problem. The dealer I changed to was the only one that would give me a price, (msrp). I would imagine that things are different now.
When my 2.7 blew in my BD I called Ford customer service as I couldn't get any communication from the dealer. After I had a case started any time I wanted info and the dealer rep couldn't or wouldn't provide answers, no call backs or emails, within 5 min's of contacting Ford rep I would receive...
Never driven anything other than conventional 4wd, and with them binding is definitely noticeable on hard surfaces. I have never had one come to a complete stop though, always clutched before the engine died. Don't know if it would stay engaged but the one pedal button driving would that when...
You said it looked and tasted like water. There is no water contained in any vehicle any more. Anti-freeze has a distinct smell and taste. Usually oils are obvious. This is condensation either from the a/c evaporator or from the exhaust. It may be that it doesn't get hot enough to burn the...
Though I will probably never take my doors off, just had a thought. Heavy closed cell pipe insulation that is split slipped on the bottom wouldn't prevent a heavy drop but would give some protection when taking doors off or installing them.
Not all mud is created equal. We have areas that street tires could drive through 4" of mud yet other areas a 1/2" is like driving on greased glass. Most tires won't even pick it up. We also have areas that may have dust 8" deep that is almost impassable without 4wd. And maybe you were just...
My '21 4dr bd is showing 21.4 1/2 lo speed hwy 1/2 stop & go city. Eco and easy acceleration. This is on 2nd 2.7 with 250 miles. The first one got to 22 at 3900 miles so maybe 2nd engine will be better. have used calculated and dash reading. It has ranged from .5 over to spot on so dash is close...
Finally got by baby back ('21 bd 4d). Engine blew July 1 (yes, already on list of failures). Took about a week for shop to decide that engine was indeed dead and Ford approved replacement of long block. Engine arrived by the end of July. My orig julian date was 169, replacement 167, almost...
Nah, I will keep my blown 2.7. Mileage is great, hasn't burned any fuel for 2 months now. Maybe this weekend she will come home and I can break it in again.
Running in 4 lo in sand may heat the tranny less. It will put less strain on everything and the tranny will run in the higher gears. Not much sand here but what I have run, 4 lo works better except high speed stuff but slower speeds lo works better imho.
Sorry for your loss. Hopefully suspension repair on front will change how things look. The body damage would be easy. Frame damage could make it a total. Somebody that did that to a local in some of the counties here would be disappeared.
