Depends on if you have the time to drive it home. I think the break in period is 500 miles? Is shipping it saving you from just having it sent to a dealer here in Vegas? 1200 miles isn't all that much in the grand scheme of things.
Yes, mine stayed in Louisville for 3 days. Cincinnati for two or three days. Currently it is stuck in Norwesohi since the 24th probably because of the holiday. I heard once it gets to Union Pacific from CSX it goes faster and I can only pray as it is slow going with CSX.
May want to check with CarMax or AutoNation that I just sold a 19 Edge to. They currently can not buy leases from a lot of different lease companies. I am sure because of the market these companies want the cars for themselves.
