    If it makes you feel any better, I was a day 1 reservation for a Base but wanted a Badlands. Called Ford to change and they told me to cancle and make another reservation. So now I'm a 7/16 reservation.

    You might want to refrain from talking price and your financial situation in that opening salvo. Send a short letter asking for what you want and let them know that you will visit the dealer that comes back with the best written offer. Then play mommy against daddy. Be brief. Get to your point...
