The fact itās on their website doesnāt mean anything. All ordered broncos will show up on dealerās āFordā powered websites. If anyone calls and tries to buy it, they will tell them itās reserved. This happened to me nearly anytime a Wildttak showed up on any dealer website. The sign one is...
Very similar to how I ended up with my Cyber Orange 2d last fall, my pending order is for racing red as well. Sometimes soon you just need to pull the trigger and be done with it. The color will grow on you, itās actually pretty sweet (and rare w/ 2d), people stop me all the time (universal...
I managed to snag my loaded 2D from a dealer lot a few months ago, but still have my 12 month old order pending (3 for 3: sas, lux + hard top). I'm temped to keep my order at this point for the sheer entertainment of hearing all the excuses from my dealer, and maybe it will take so long, that...
Surprised you didnāt mention the audio quality between the two. I honestly canāt believe B&O would put their logo on something which sounds so truly pathetic. Iāve ridden in 10 cent Hyundai rental cars with better audio than my $60k+ Lux Bronco.
Alpineās setup in the Wrangler is amazing for...
One other follow up on this thread. Once you are done the install, head over to the Hard top squeaking - gasket lubricant? thread and get yourself some Krytox Gasket Lube (~$25, 0.5 oz will do fine). Clean all gaskets really well (Armor All Multi-purpose Cleaner worked well for me), and...
I just called around to local dealers and found one who had the part. Other dealers were willing to order it in.
2021 window is the same, part number is M2DZ7842006A . I did the install on a 2022 2dr. I paid around $800 plus tax.
That isnāt how the car industry works. When VW makes a Golf for 20k which they plan on selling for 45k at the GTI trim, they donāt tolerate garbage QA. The lower end models always benefit from the higher end models QA requirements, parts bins and platform which underpins them.
The problem...
Great post OP. To those who think expectations are too high on wind noise, I think that's a bit silly given the $50-65k price point of the vehicle. This isn't rocket science, it's taking panels and seating them to a gasket. It's basic engineering. Either the specs on the parts are...
SF Bay Area is definitely close to MSRP. Tons of lay offs/hiring freezes here, the good times have officially ended. Were I still in the market, Iād be pretty bold to dealers here and offer MSRP, pointing out all the job losses.
Due to the implosion of used car prices, Carvana (stock down...
Here are the ways I found the 2d superior to the 4d:
- Easier to park, fits in smaller garages (length wise), and parallel parking
- Easier to maneuver around
- IMO better if you live in the denser city (like SF say vs something more spread out like Minneapolis) and need to boot around in it
-...
I havenāt read all 9 pages, but this definitely isnāt needed on modern (say post 2000+ designs) vehicles with modern alloys and ECUs. If any sort of post engine-shutdown cooling be required, this would be programmed into the ECU along with the other ops modern cars do after you turn the engine...
It does come off straight out, probably some WD-40 might be good to dissolve some of the red thread locker (which is why it's so hard to get off). I wiggled it back n' forth (and up) to break the seal and she popped off, but don't torque it too much, there are some delicate groves on the shank...
Also, if folks are curious what the rear window part (M2DZ7842006A) looks like, here it is:
As you can see it comes with the hinge hardware attached, wiper motor bracket, as well as the lower brace.
Ok, so far so good, but I canāt seem to liberate the wiper arm from the motor assembly. Took the cover off, removed the bolt underneath, but arm wonāt budge.
Anyone have any guidance here?
Update: It comes off straight off, you just need to wiggle it out a bit.
Anyone replaced their rear glass DIY? I got the glass today from the dealer, and I'm wondering how hard this is to replace DIY?
I'm always a bit nervous having the "professionals" work on my vehicles, as they won't take the time sometimes to go slow, and make sure everything is done as well...
Except with the minor detail that American based tech firms⦠have you know⦠laws? Regulations? Political recourse? People get fired, companyās get sued etc. Silicon Valley spends billions on privacy and security.
With a foreign firm who just sells boxes on eBay and suchā¦. good luck with that.
