I posted this as a joke a while back, but could be useful for assisting with the spare tire :)
As had been suggested already, a cooler and a recovery board as a ramp could ease the burden of loading and unloading a heavy spare when the old back is acting up.
Water is not the only thing MGV will help with. My daughter put 2 bushels of hay in the back of my carpeted van 2 years ago and there's still hay everywhere! A leaf blower on MGV should get rid of it all in seconds.
You should only be allowed to wear flannel if, somehow, you're showing the pride of your motherland. You have to show us your lederhosen :) I'm feeling a separate "Flannel Land" thread coming on!
Plaid is for anyone. A Tartan says who you are! Each Tartan has a unique pattern that identifies your clan and must be made from the wool of your motherland. @IDyeti , I'll be wearing mine!
With respect, I need to push back on this mindset. It has been a common comment on this site and, in fact, a mantra I grew up with. My mother always said "Expect the worst and hope for the best". She had a hard life early on and it is my feeling this mantra is born from survival instincts...
I learned how to swim by my pops throwing me off a dock and saying 'good luck'. At least I think that's what he said as I was under water!
He did the same thing teaching me how to drive a stick. He took me to the steepest road he could find with a cliff and no guardrails. I learned.
I expect 8' would fit inside - but maybe not 10'. I do a lot of fishing on the Housatonic in CT. I use a 4wt 10'. I spent less than $30 at Home Depot and got a 10' piece of PVC and cap to connect to my roof rack with some bungee.
Yakima and other expensive solutions provide the ability to...
This is almost exactly what I was told. Except the word "may" was used instead of "will". Now I'm thinking, all things being equal, they will favor an order who says they must have it.
My order is currently what I want. But, they could get me to order extras (ie: extra tops) :) I just wouldn't want an impulse add-on to push me months away. There are pragmatic reasons why I have a threshold on delivery time as well.
Edit: In context with this thread, I am fine with...
Is there a point, in May?, where the dealer can say "Based on your timestamp, there will definitely be enough inventory that you can order the following things without causing delay". ? If so, at that moment, is it a faith issue with the dealer that what they are saying is accurate and not just...
Been doing some comparing between orders and reservations. Here are numbers that I find notable:
I matched Orders and Reservations by the Bronco6g Username. It appears a switch to Badlands is dominant.
