  1. Buying with a Credit Card

I’ve bought my last 2 vehicles(one car one motorcycle) on my credit card to get points/miles. I def wouldn’t recommend doing it if you don’t plan to pay it off right away, but if you’re planning to purchase outright and not get any sort of loan(so have the full amount in your bank account) then...
  2. Removeable Roll Cage

Pretty certain my camaro convertible has no such roll bar feature(don’t think the brand new ones do either). And know of many many convertibles that are no where near being “classic” without any kinda of roll bar or roll over features. But again, where is the legality to that? Just because they...
  3. Removeable Roll Cage

If it was illegal to not have a roll cage wouldn’t every convertible vehicle have one? Not sure what would be illegal about it, just inadvisable to always run without it. As for removing the one on the bronco, it’s got the airbag in the roll bar so that’s a major complication to that.
  4. Manual or Automatic Bronco? Give me your input

My opinion on the subject of resale value - not driving a car to keep miles off it for resale is like not banging your girl to keep it fresh for the next guy. Keeping with that analogy, not buying the manual because of resale value is like only doing cowgirl style even though you prefer it...
  5. Ford explains why no manual with 2.7L Bronco

But 5% of a vehicle that makes 200k a year is still 10k a year. And when manual is only an option on 1 of 3 engines for the wrangler I’d say 10k a year is actually pretty good. More than the first edition broncos in one year, and still sells that many every year. More than the take rate of a...
  6. Will a 4dr mansqatch be underpowered?

If you really think anything in today’s world doesn’t have parts made in China then you’re blissfully ignorant. The auto trans probably has just as many parts from China as the manual. Possibly more since autos generally have more parts inside them. Where it’s made really doesn’t determine the...
  7. Will a 4dr mansqatch be underpowered?

Well the best engine is whichever one comes with a manual transmission behind it ;)
  8. Will a 4dr mansqatch be underpowered?

Pretty sure the 2.3 has still got more horsepower and more or almost as much torque as any previous bronco engine. Even the 5.8 V8 in the full size 90s broncos was like 210hp, the 2.3 is something like 270hp. So should be fine I’d say.
  9. Long wheelbase 2 Door

But the Bronco R wasn’t a 2 door, it didn’t have any doors
  10. Towing Package question

Yea I’ve heard a lot don’t let the jeeps, but I’ve also seen a Jeep top down pulling out of with a trailer from the uhaul place where my dad had a storage garage for awhile. So while they may have a rule about it, not every one of the uhaul stores follows it for the jeeps. Just depends how lucky...
  11. Towing Package question

Gladiator has the same kind of removable top, comes with a soft top standard, and has up to 7600lb tow cap(not dependent on top). So I don’t think the top really has anything to do with it. Uhauls ruling has nothing to do with the tow cap either, they just doesn’t want some schmuck that bolted a...
  12. Ford Corrects Website – BASE 4 Door Bronco Does NOT Come Standard With Automatic Transmission

One question, does the wrangler sport still not have power windows/doors and such? If so, wouldn’t the Sport S be closer to what’s actually on the bronco base? Cause then you’d starting at $35k before adding trans/top/delivery for the wrangler making it a few grand more than bronco. Haven’t...
  13. Door onboard storage with soft top?

Well did they ever say “the four doors are storable and roof(s) can store with them” cause the doors are still stowable with the soft top on as much as with the hard top on, so don’t need the hard top to stow them. You can’t take the hard top and stow it in the back with the doors either. So...
  14. Door onboard storage with soft top?

I recall a thread on here with a pic of the bronco with soft top half folded back driving down the highway. So even if the doors don’t fit with the top folded all the way back guess there’s still some sorta half roofless full doorless option. But yea, not sure about fully folding it back. Guess...
  15. Blacked (Murdered) Out Bronco Anyone?

Dont look anywhere near what I’ve seen most consider “murdered out” also for a “stealth edition” they still left a lot of chrome on it.
  16. Blacked (Murdered) Out Bronco Anyone?

Well OP did say offering from ford, you’ll never get smoked/blacked out everything straight from manufacturer. Lights being “murdered out” typical isn’t even legal in a lot of places so will have to be done yourself anyways. So that pic probably is the closest to a “murdered out” factory look...
  17. What would be a realistic towing capacity?

One big difference though is the bronco/ranger and gladiator/wrangler are opposites sides of the same spectrum in a way. The gladiator was built off the wrangler so towing wasn’t designed into it first, but the bronco was built off the ranger so it already was a towing capable platform. The 3.6...
  18. A rant that hopefully helps on-the-fence bronco buyers

If the answer to every bronco complaint is go test drive a wrangler then what’s the point of the bronco just buy a wrangler. While I do get the idea of it’s a similar type of vehicle, this bronco was also solely developed to be better than the wrangler, so if it’s just the same as a wrangler...
  19. First Edition Bronco reservation on eBay for $15K

Sure price will play a factor of course, but at already $10k more than a wildtrak base price and it seems the FE is more based of the badlands(speculation in articles and based on standard features so far released about it, even the logo for FE is based on badlands) which it’s almost $20k more...
