I have a 2016 Ford Mustang Convertible in Race Red and also two black decal racing stripes.
I drive it year round in Michigan and it gets hit with salt, snow, ice, etc.
So far, I don't see any issues with it at all.
People think I am crazy for saying that these will lease out starting at $350-400 (40K miles over 3 years, maybe $1000 down). But it makes sense because of their likely high residual value and the fact that Ford/Dealers are motivated to have a solid stock of used ones for dealers in a few years...
I drive a manual transmission Ford Mustang as a daily driver. It is not always fun in heavy traffic, but when I have some space to move the car around on the road, it is better. I suppose paddle shifters are a supposed to be the "happy medium"... but they are just not the same.
Great Question and actually related to the Sasquatch debate. Sasquatch makes it easier to drive off road, just like autos make it easier to drive on or off road. Weird that more people are not like me. I want a manual and no Sasquatch to maximize my driving ability through any situation. I want...
Specifically, in our family without any special A or Z discounts: Minimal down (under $1000), 40K miles, 36 months, a little over $400 for an MKC (now known as Corsair) with a sticker price around $40-45K. You just have to know when to get it.
Look up Wrangler leases, even without subvention...
He based his estimate on what Mustangs start at, which is comparable in his mind because Mustangs have a little lower MSRP, but also lower resale % v. Wranglers (which is the best comparable).
Basically...
If you bought a Bronco for $30K and it was worth $22K after 3 years/40K miles... then the...
Very hard to know. My understanding is that leases for new Wranglers are very favorable. My dealer said he expected leases for Broncos to start in the $350-400 range, but did not commit to anything.
With my Mustang, I bought two sets of wheels, the second set for Winter, and swap every ~6 months. This allows the tires to wear out 1/2 as fast.... so my net cost is just the wheels (under $1000 in my case). It allows me to have 2 different looks to my Mustang, one custom/one stock.
I have a 2016 base manual convertible Mustang (with a racing stripe) that bought 1 year old for $23K with only 6500 miles on it. Side by side with a GT or a 350R, it may look like a "lesser car"... but to the general public, it makes no difference.
I get compliments on my car all the time... no...
As Sherlock McEinstein once said....
"Better to have a redone kitchen and a base Bronco with nothing on it, than a lifted Sasquatch Bronco with giant inch infotainment screen that I cannot afford and no improvements to my kitchen..."
I used to be 6'2" with the afro. I used to use the headliner of my Saturn SC2 as a "hair cut Indictor feature". When my hair would touch, time for a haircut.
I am down to 5'10" with a bald spot now.
