The 2.3l is a good motor even without a tune. If you opt for the lower ratio axles and the 7 speed with the crawler gear. The torque multiplication will make it beast off road. Daily driver, cruising, in town errands. The 2.3 is great. The v6 is moreso meant for those who want either the...
So I dropped some info here and there prior. The things I was so excited for you guys to find out were....
The hydraulic swaybar
Availability of the 2.7 across the board
The amount of flex they managed out of the IFS
The sasquatch package in general being widely available
The white top...
This would be great, ford can one up them and say... well the new 7.3l would probably fit.... lmao. Then I might have to sell my house and buy a bronco... wonder if the wife would like living in a tent....
Not that extreme, you are seeing seat and center console silhouette.
The opening is plenty big, the taper on the sill, and the finished edge where the door frame meets the rear 1/4, will just give you that look of being more finished, not just an open door jam. Make sense?
Or...its just the door jam is designed in a way to harken back to the EB fiberglass inserts. Without the extra hassle. Being that the door are designed to be ultra light and easy to take off. They are not monstrously thick. Did I mention I know things? Just waiting for someone to really pick up...
The way i look at it, now people that have seen this, have more unanswered questions, wanting details about each individual thing. I said in the other post.... There is A LOT to pay attention to in the reveal. This just cements that for those who questioned me. This is a good starting list. But...
Your pickin up what I'm puttin down.
FCA should legit be worried. I'm sure they have insider info too, the only saving grace they have right now is the huge aftermarket.
The smooth plastics you see, most likely will be textured via a 2 part paint, for a soft touch foam feel. Not that I know for sure. But that's pretty standard application over the last few years. I've been working with interior automotive plastics for the better part of a decade.
Between the ford oem setups, the ford accessories, and the modularity of this rig. Its going to hold quite a few surprises for people. My buddy tells me a few things and tells me to hold onto my hat. This thing is unbelievably capable off the lot. Let alone what you can do to it. The rollout for...
Well, think about the size of the ranger, its about the same size as the 97-03 f150s. Which isnt small by any means. So taking that into account. This bronco should be fairly close to the full size bronco of yesteryear.
Glad you are ok. If it was me, pick up a ford fusion or something along those lines. Put the rest in the bank for your down payment on the bronco. OR if you can find one. A first gen expedition with the 5.4. Can be had for relatively cheap, still have a decent tow capacity if you need it. Then...
I feel the bronco will fill a different void in the same vein as the jeep. Jeep has worked wonders for SFA drivability. But its far from perfect. The bronco with IFS will sway people soley on comfort. The other areas where the bronco should shine, power, towing, shoulder room, and creature...
