  1. [Official] 150K Bronco Reservations Received Already

From 1966-1969: 22.5 Mustangs were sold for every Bronco. From 2016-2019: 2.5 Jeep Wranglers were sold for every Mustang. 346K Mustangs were sold in 2016-2019. That is less than the AVERAGE PER YEAR 1966-1969. And remember that Mustang is (I believe) the #1 selling sports car. Tastes in types...
  2. [Official] 150K Bronco Reservations Received Already

Can you do Mustang v. Bronco 1966-70 and 2016-2020? You will be shocked at the numbers.
  3. Base Model Bronco Thread

I have no idea how depreciation will be for the base model, but the Wrangler does not depreciate as much as I expected when I looked it up. Try finding a no accident Wrangler with under 40K miles for under $20K, regardless of features... it is very hard.
  4. What are you going to order ?

For me in order of importance: 1. Getting a Bronco 2. Having enough money to still redo the kitchen. I am getting a base, 2 door, with nothing on it.
  5. Going Topless for the First Time

I have a Mustang convertible. I leave the top down sometimes. Also I park far away. Once in a while a Corvette or something like that will park close to me, so my plan to avoid door dent risk does not come to fruition. Looking forward to having no door dents when I have no doors. I like that 2...
  6. Realizing my dreams

I sold my '87 Firebird Formula 350 in 1997, just before my daughter was born. I loved that car! Then I was sensible with cars until I bought my current Mustang in 2017, after both my kids grew up. 20 years was a long time to wait, but it was worth it.
  7. Realizing my dreams

You are a hero! Thank you for the work you do! You have helped more people than people who have 10X your salary. Remember that. Money is secondary to family, health and giving to others. By your job description, you already have "a win"... whether in a new Bronco or whatever you drive. That...
  8. Marketplace?

I would like to rent your doors that have big holes in them, if you buy... how do I do that?
  9. Marketplace?

I will take a set of 16 inch steel wheels off your hands if you like, for those of you are getting the base and then immediately upgrading the wheels. I may just stick to having 2 sets of those and keep the retro look with two sets of tires.
  10. Sasquatch tire life / mileage?

I get what you mean, but I have done this with my old Firebird and my current Mustang (both were daily drivers), so maybe I am not like most. The Winter tires do look "wimpier" and are smaller... but they are better in the snow and wheels make the car look different which is kind of cool every...
  11. Sasquatch tire life / mileage?

My plan (in case this helps)... I will get the base Bronco (no Sasquatch) and buy a second set of wheels/tires that will switch out with the OEMs every 6-8 months. I will try to get as big as possible for the second set to get two different "looks" on my Bronco (Big tires in Summer, Smaller...
  12. Bucking the Sasquatch Fever

How much credit are you expecting? I was thinking of keeping the steelies on the base for the winter/retro look and buying a second set of bigger tires and wheels for a completely different look in the summer. The net cost is just the wheels that way because each set of tires will wear out half...
  13. Bucking the Sasquatch Fever

Perhaps you will jump the curb at your local Target and then park up on the top of Berm after you go straight over a 10 inch deep pot hole on the way there. Then it would not be overkill.
  14. How will ordering work in December?

I think one key point you make that I did not emphasize is that you have to get the right number of miles. I would not get a 10K/year lease to save money. However, I have never gone over by enough to make it a bad decision. I usually do 15K or 13.5K per year. I have typically driven about...
  15. How will ordering work in December?

Mustangs lease out locally in SE Michigan at about $350-400/month (for the base 4 cylinder model). Maybe the Bronco could start in that range... There are lots of very favorable lease deals with Wranglers (because of super high residual values)... so that is a very encouraging sign.
  16. How will ordering work in December?

I have leased and been happy with many vehicles. There are several reasons you SHOULD lease: 1. Your vehicle is likely to be under warranty the whole time which means you should not have to worry about your vehicle at all. 2. The payment is typically much lower. It is all about the payment...
  17. Understanding the demographical Bronco buyer landscape: Manual v. Automatic Transmission

One of the hidden benefits of a manual transmission may be insurance. My quoted Insurance rate on my manual transmission Mustang was so low, that I called back and talked with someone else at the insurance company to verify the number. I just could not believe it. It was LOWER than a CMAX...
  18. Understanding the demographical Bronco buyer landscape: Manual v. Automatic Transmission

haha! Like I said, I am a GenX that acts like a GenZ. By the way, I see more GenZ fans at Detroit City FC matches than at baseball games. This is a serious problem for baseball right now. Detroit City FC is not just "soccer" and it definitely is NOT the milquetoast boring "MLS" that you may be...
  19. Understanding the demographical Bronco buyer landscape: Manual v. Automatic Transmission

I am a GenX that acts like a GenZ. What does that mean? 1. Work in an AGILE way rather than water fall GANTT chart way. 2. Don't use clip art or 3D charts when I want to express my feelings to others in business. 3. Can make it through entire lap of FORZA without drifting into the fields and...
  20. 2022 Bronco: The new reality

The 1964.5 Mustang was distinct from the 1965. The 1964.5 used a generator, not an alternator. Also every engine except the very rare K Codes was different. In fact, 1966 Mustangs are closer to 1965 than the 1964.5s are. Even all these years later, having a 1964.5 makes a difference in the...
