Installed a full set of aluminum RCI skid plates: engine, transmission, transfer case and some cat guards (why not at that point). I feel like the stock gas tank skid is fine so didn't get the RCI one. I previously installed some cameras underneath to see all the tires but the transfer case...
I found my wrenches/sockets only went up to 19mm, so I went out and got some 20, 21 and 22mm ones. Closed ratcheting wrenches like below made it so much easier.
I have not done any hard maneuvers. So far I have not noticed any difference when turning/braking, can't wait to try it out off-road. For what it's worth, I have the stock Sasquatch setup.
Did a few things over the weekend:
1. Installed Auto Stop Eliminator, didn't want to mess with forscan.
2. Installed wireless phone charger.
4. Swapped out front swaybar links with the new ones from Boss 4x4.
Mine have some squeaking as well when I first drive it in the morning or after work, i.e. so it's been sitting a while. It's just the first couple stops and then it goes away, hopefully it doesn't get worse. Even before the squeaking I've noticed that the brakes bite hard the first few stops...
I just loosened 3 of the tank skid plate bolts and had no issues getting the sliders in. I didn't worry about how much gas in the tank or anything, it was very easy.
First time using my hoist to remove the hard top. I need to move the top bolts closer in as they are too wide compared to the top, otherwise worked great and no loud crashing sound from the garage yet.
I'm mid 40s with a wife and 2 kids, so naturally I have a 2 door. The key is to set the bar low, here's a pic of my other vehicle, compared to that the family loves being in the Bronco.
Ok, I just threw my hat in the ring and placed an order (hopefully I'm in the first batch).
I've been close to ordering the manual disconnects a few times but I know I'm too lazy to connect/reconnect all the time. The SoCal deserts usually mean a mix of high speed and some technical spots, so...
I ordered my 2DR sliders back on April 13th and just received them over the weekend (6/24).
Packaging wasn't the greatest, but I ordered mine raw so not much damage you can do to these things, but if you got them powder coated that might be a different story. Hardware just loose in the box...
When mine had a status of built, the date was there but I also didn't have the check mark (green dot). After 5 weeks the check mark finally showed up and then the status changed to shipped.
Took a month after that to arrive at the dealer and the shipping status was never really all that...
