  1. Ford: Supply chain issues and we promise you in 45 days... email

I got a “shipped” email early this morning. I guess I dodged a bullet. I felt lucky to get my “all the sins” WT build this year. I was seriously considering switching to a non-SAS BL. Which I would have been fine with all things considered.
  2. JTopsUSA Introduces the Bronco Bimini Sun Shade!

@JTopsUSA Let us know when you develop a force field to shed rain :)
  3. FORD Tire sticker on my new 2023 Badlands Sas is WRONG

It could have something to do with the Explorer rollover issues in the '90s. One potential cause for the tire failure was under inflation to give the SUV a more car-like ride. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Firestone_and_Ford_tire_controversy
  4. Ford: Supply chain issues and we promise you in 45 days... email

The dates really aren’t set in stone until you get a window sticker. My stick was available the Friday before my production week. There is a forum post that is stickied in the Ordering section on how to read your window sticker. Among other things it tells you the Blend Date, which is when they...
  5. Ford: Supply chain issues and we promise you in 45 days... email

Also, Ford is so tight on some parts that the replacement part may be allocated to another build. It doesn’t sound fair, but the guys running MAP may have an incentive system that doesn’t prioritize fixing a QC build over another new build. I’ve worked in manufacturing enough to know that these...
  6. Ford: Supply chain issues and we promise you in 45 days... email

I got an email today saying that my WT has been built, but waiting to go through the QC process. I’ve been waiting 2 years…I can wait a little longer to make sure that the vehicle passes QC.
  7. Ford: Supply chain issues and we promise you in 45 days... email

My thoughts exactly. Ford’s back office is the “Gang that couldn’t shoot straight”. Contacted my dealer yesterday: the $2,500 incentive to buy another vehicle is in SmartVincent, but the $2,950 Carry over incentive for my Wildtrak is not. Perhaps it’s just timing. I’ve read that the carry over...
  8. What's your unpopular Bronco opinion?

Don't the lockers come with the advanced 4wd?
  9. What's your unpopular Bronco opinion?

The Base is definitely more capable than most 4wd vehicles. What makes Saquatch better IMHO is the advanced 4wd option, which you can get on an OBX for under $1000 option (or at least you could the last time I checked).
  10. What's your unpopular Bronco opinion?

I like the Bronco Sport. It's built on the same platform as the Escape and Maverick. Like my aging Jeep Commander, it's a unit body platform. I have done stuff in that vehicle that is more "offroad" than most of the Bronco population will see. We don't do much aggressive rock crawling on the...
  11. What's your unpopular Bronco opinion?

They did a great job redesigning the Escape. Slapping the Bronco name on that vehicle before the "real" Bronco debuted earned them the "Marketing Genius Award". Until Anheuser-Busch said "Hold my beer..."

    Man, that's a lot of 3M double-sided tape!

Hey, the guys at Hasbro approve! :p
  14. What's your unpopular Bronco opinion?

The design engineer who works on fenders at Ford got Covid that week. Good news is that Hasbro had a guy on loan with "great ideas"

  18. What's your unpopular Bronco opinion?

I've seen plenty of stock Broncos. The factory "rake" looks fine to me. *shrugs*
  19. What's your unpopular Bronco opinion?

I wonder whether the "work" version in future model years will be something like that. They could keep the advanced 4wd and use a little beefier single-cylinder shock system. They could beef up the electrical system to handle more vehicle electronics and have "plug-n-play" ports for radio...
