Not negative. Iām just ok admitting there are areas where Ford hit a home run, and areas where they swung and missed.
Iāll take all the blame for expecting a little better feel to the interior, and an overall better experience as far as this whole reservation/buying process.
Respectfully disagree. Iāve never been in a luxury vehicle that had hollow cheaply made plastics like the Bronco. The interior falls short because of that. Some will say itās a utilitarian vehicle, but if youāre selling a āLuxā package, it should at least live up to itās name. Imo, it does not.
The interior definitely couldāve been better. Drove an OBX and was not impressed with the hard interior plastics, the center console armrest felt like a brick. Donāt even want to get started on the base steering wheel.
Yes. Maybe for this reservation process, the dealership shouldāve just been the pickup location for your Bronco. Paperwork already complete with Ford, dealership verifies your info and hands you the keys. All these Ford emails say āyour Broncoā but some dealerships are acting like itās their...
Donāt kick the OP while heās down. He mentioned having good experiences with the service dept which led him to place an order with this dealer. Iām sure weād all do things differently in hindsight, but itās too late to go back now. Being told what shouldāve been done isnāt helping, sometimes...
Itās definitely a quality issue. Ford decided to go with a cheap top and these are the results. If it was supposed to be that way, there wouldnāt be a 2.0. I will keep my Lexus, get a Bronco and continue to point out areas where I think Ford can do better, b/c if we keep excusing them theyāll...
Noā¦this notion that an off road vehicle should lack quality and be uncomfortable is unacceptable imo, esp when some of these vehicles cost $50k-$60k. Sorry but there is nothing charming or unique abt a $60k vehicle with a rattling leaking, deteriorating top.
