I felt something similar when changing lanes on the highway when I did the same thing in the rain several weeks ago. I'm pretty sure slippery mode switches to 4H and this was perhaps the result of binding after that. I just read about that on this forum recently, and apparently should only be...
@Arrowbear Rider @BroncoJoerg I just spoke to the rangers for Saddleback and confirmed those roads are already closed and anticipated to open 3-5 days after the rains go thru. Pretty cool to know that you can just call and ask!
@Arrowbear Rider - thanks for the info, and yes, excited you got your Bronco off the train! Sounds like a plan to forgo this weekend given weather and get back in action when things clear up!
@BroncoJoerg Got it thanks. I wonder if Saddleback will be closed too...didn't realize you could just call the rangers. Will look into calling and seeing what the deal is for Santiago Peak.
I'm interested! Was going to try to go with the big group on Saturday for round 2 of one of the Bouquet reservoir trails but it's sounding like it may end up being cancelled because of the weather.
@Ryslegit @luntz @805BaseSquatch and everyone - thanks for the recs! Went out to Rowher and was taken in by a Jeep convoy (!!!) who were absolutely lovely and I had a great time there! Was definitely a bit scary by myself as a first-timer, but once I joined the group, it felt much more...
@Ryslegit Thanks! I have a Base Bronco on 33s with the other gear - and not tons of trail experience, so maybe not that one to start, or at least not by myself!
Would anyone be interested in a trail run somewhere around LA area this weekend (2/18 or 2/19)? Finally got my winch, air compressor, traction boards and GMRS - and am itching to try out all the gear!
I ended up having a place install my RC Hidden Winch mount with an Amazon winch for my 2.3L. They charged me ~$650 for 5+ hours of work. But they told me the 2.7 would have taken twice as long! Would've loved to DIY but hard when living in an apt in the city.
$500 sounds like a steal to me...
Upon picking up my non-Sasquatch Base Bronco from Granger around this time last year, I headed home straight thru a blizzard in Iowa and then Nebraska on my way back west. Admittedly not terrible accumulation of snow on the roads, but it did very well, even with stock tires!
A testimonial - I followed @Gangstead 's instructions and they were perfect! Thank you! FORScan now working with minimal effort on my part on my M1 Mac for free! Without having to deal with Bootcamp or buying Parallels/Crossover.
Only changes for my personal install were that the symlink...
@Gangstead these instructions were incredible! Got it working perfectly on my M1 Mac. You should post a formal thread on this on its own, if you haven't already. Tons of people asking how to get FORScan working on the M1 Mac, and this is the only guide I've found to help do it for free.
As...
Beautiful! Looks so professional and clean! I've been watching this video again and again.
Could the air filter/intake stay on the side of the unit behind the trim panel without needing to stick out of the trim? Maybe a dumb question since I've never used an air compressor before but if the...
