I mentioned this in another post, but can't wrap my mind around it.
After the latest price increase on 9/10 (~$2000), I asked my dealer why my price went up. He said that Ford probably increased the price. I looked at my current price protection of $3080, and obviously that hasn't covered all...
I talked to my dealer again about the price protection for 9/10. I said Ford said he would "have to apply it" and said I hope he knows about all that because I can't do it. He said (quoted):
"We can submit your name for the PP of course, and if Ford approves the PP, then we apply it. It's not...
I feel dumb, but I know almost nothing about PPF. It's like a plastic "skin", right? Do you have to remove it at some point? Or does it just wear off over time?
If a rock hits it, does it wrinkle up? I don't want to put something on that's going to cause another issue I have to deal with.
I think you must really like that gauge cluster. :) I like it, too.
I consider that falling under exterior or interior design changes. It would be nice, but I don't consider this a game-changing update. I did reword that particular prediction to allow it to cover things that aren't "very...
He's right.
Just my opinion, but I would expect the Bronco to hold value comparable to the Jeep in general. It's going to appeal to even more buyers with the new tech and the IFS (i.e. good on-road drivability). The Jeep will stay strong due to a cult following, and also to hardcore...
Thanks! Some fun reading there. I really like the polls. A lot of those users are concentrating on details, like back seat cupholders. That stuff is truly hard to predict. I like to stick to the big changes. I did get inspired to add a prediction that I'd completely forgotten to my list...
That's probably a good one. I admit I haven't investigated the Raptor much at all. I like a few things for sure about it. I'll have to check out those gauges.
The Wrangler not being on the list really is a surprise to me. I've gotten some crazy offers over the last couple of years for my '17 JK. Not as high as they used to be, but still not far from what I paid 5+ years ago.
Disclaimer: I have zero "inside" knowledge, other than reading the same articles over the last couple of years that you guys have, but after reading quite a bit, here are my guesses for what we're going to see, along with my estimate of probability:
1) Android Automotive finally replaces Sync4...
Wow, thank you for relaying that information. That is really good to know. The Ford person I spoke to was lost and didn't even know there was a price increase.
I did not know they would do that--I think I will contact them a third time and ask about this. Wish they'd mentioned they could do that on one of the previous calls. Thanks for the heads up.
I'm an even-tempered, mild kind of guy, but I'm battling cancer and dealing with Ford at the same time, and I'm about to lose my mind. When I first ordered, I had leather, lux, and modular bumper on my Wildtrak for something like $54k. Now I've dropped leather and the modular bumper, and MSRP...
My dealer generated a new build summary, which he says is straight from Ford. My price went up $1937 with no options changed. I did see Destination & Delivery went up $200, but the remaining increase is on the first line item of the model ("E5C0 BRONCO 2 DR ADVANCED 4X4") itself.
Pretty...
I really like the sense of style... do you have any NON-retro designs?
I personally love the new designs (i.e. "Willdtrak") and don't want to go back in time with the retro-look.
