@Eric L I was talking with BOAR Offroad on 146.52 simplex on the 2m ham band. I never heard a peep out of the CB. I don't have GMRS (or a GMRS license), but I am running a Yaesu FTM-440 for ham radio and some Midland plug in thing for CB.
@CruiserGuy Had a great time - another 6G member, @Eric L was there as well! I think we both had a great time! I had no idea there was so much stuff in 5 mile pass. :-)
I use that thing to power my compressor, which I have in a toolbox I carry in the back. I can plug my FT-817 into it, as well, so POTA activations is a great idea - I am going to have to do that, too!
Nice job! Here's what I did? Which antenna mount did you use? I'd prefer to have mine on the hood, actually.

Got to the Veteran's Day ride out near 5 mile pass, mostly a scenic ride with a couple of optional obstacles. Had a great time with the group and got to meet @Eric L and his badsquatch. I think those steps protect it a little from the mud - mine looked like pigpen and Eric's was almost clean...
I'll be joining up with the BOAR Offroad group on Saturday morning at 5 Mile Pass. They have a website at boaroffroad.com and claim to be a family friendly group. A friend recommended them to me. Seem pretty active, as well. If anyone would like to ride along with me, I'll have a seat available.
No big deal. That's what warranties are for.
I had to have a cylinder head rebuilt due to a collapsed lifter bank in my 2019 Ram. Took them a day or two to finish it up. It threw all kinds of crazy errors, too. Then I drove it in to the dealer in "limp home" mode and they made it well...
On Wednesday, I crossed over from Northern UT to Colorado Springs, saw some built Broncos headed west on 70 riding trailers, Havok Offroad was one. Anyway, in Chilk Fil-A parking lot, I got a "trailer brake fault" on the screen. I wasn't towing and had places to be, so I ignored it.
Did what...
@TheKim I drove out on Pony Express last November in the snow to get some data on muzzle velocity on a rifle in cold weather, but that was in my Ram Rebel. I bet it would be more fun in a Bronco!
Standard Badlands with a 1" leveling kit. I went with the metal fender flares from Ford Accessories and DX4 Terrain wheels, +10 offset, Goodyear Duratracs in 215/70/R17.
Thanks for the compliment! :)
