I mean I haven't seen it brought up in this thread. The fact that it also depends on the engine version pretty much tells me it doesn't have anything to do with roof integrity or design. I don't really see much of a difference between a 4 door Badlands w/squatch and V-6 to the version wo/Squatch...

As far as I can see no one has brought up the fact that you can't get the roof rack with the non-squatch version of a 4-door Badlands with a V-6 in the build and price calculator. When I first asked them at the dealer why I could get it wit the 4 cylinder and not the 6 I got the blankest stare...

I'm going with what Ford told my dealer for now. I'll be able to get a roof rack for my '21 but they can't say when that availability will be. If it winds up being a lie, I'll be pissed. I've been pissed before, so.....

I’m not sure how to interpret what he’d said. If they change the roof for ‘22 with new spots to bolt the rack we’d need the ‘21 roof rack that has the center of gravity issue. So confusing...

Nightmares is right. Confirmed my ‘21 order yesterday because they were told by someone at Ford that I’d be able to get a roof rack at “some” point after delivery. I’ll be pissed if that winds up not being true.

I’d seen a quote a couple months ago from a Q&A with some Ford guys at an event saying grey stitching would be an option. At this point I’m feeling like that was bull. ??

I stopped by the dealership last week to see if there were any updates on the window for placing my order...”a” salesman ( mine was apparently off that day) pulled up the Ford website then looked at me and said “it looks like they’ll be available late Spring”. I said thanks, got up and left...
