@FordVideoGuy is Tim from Salinas Ford in Kansas. He can probably help though ...
Tim, what the heck is up with Ford trolling us with sunroof vinyl? Is that how the HEs or painted tops are delivered? Thanks!
Agree, take the warranty and have them fix or clear what needs to be taken care of and then monitor from there. Yes what they did was f'd up but could've been new kid or just not enough people working and it got missed, could and does happen pretty much everywhere.
I know Town and Country are on the forum but can't remember his handle. Looks like some kind of protective/shipping plastic over the top but have never seen it on any other especially trolling with a fake sunroof.
What the heck is on the top??? I was thinking they added a sunroof at first since it flashed so fast but never go back and describe anything with the top.
It all depends on what you think is hokey or not. Here's a 2 door ...
IMO, that looks right
Here's another with panels ...
That's a bit much but would look good body colored and drop the white bumper.
Here's a 4 door, same comment ...
The pics that I grabbed have the bumper, trail guides and mirror caps all in white, that's allot with all the other white we have going on. I'd stick with keeping the black bumpers and guides, body color caps and handles and then the white flares but even then I'd want to frame the grille body...
Based on the quality of Ford's own MIC top and equal cost buying directly from them how's this not a no-brainer? Soft top owners would need to purchase the rear glass is the only down side besides dealing directly with a company halfway around the world along with the fluctuating tarrifs.
I haven't been tracking order and cut off dates since I got mine but there used to be weekly posts about build dates.
@FordVideoGuy, Tim, have you posted up any videos about build/order dates that might give them a guess if they'll get built this year.
My two cents is you gotta remember that being behind a Raptor (or any truck) most cars can't see shit of the road ahead, especially if you're poking along. When I taught my son to drive I emphasized the fact not to be in trucks (or anyone's) blindspots, either be behind them with a gap to be...
I wouldn't buy it or drive it but I don't hate it. People clamoring for a Bronco pickup with an extended wheelbase and a half top, well, there you go, have at it.
