I always keep a few Pennzoil Ultra Platinum 5qt jugs on hand for the Bronco, whole house generator, and other equipment. I have been having trouble finding Ultra Platinum, but Walmart had some nearby and had 5 delivered.

I got 2 of these at Harbor Freight (on sale) for less than $2 and are super bright. Super glued the Velcro on - current glue melts in the summer heat - and slapped them on the roof. Super bright and I can add as many as I need and move them around as needed.

Nice! A long time ago I mounted the fork mounts to a 2x4 and stapled an old inner tube to the bottom to keep it from sliding. Still use it with some of my cars.

As I get older, I do things within my ability. If you can’t lift the spare, I would not go off-road alone.

Consider subscribing to an auto service that can do it for you (e.g., AAA, etc.) or see if your insurance can do an add-on.

My Mercedes GLE 63s AMG (dual-turbo v8) gets better mileage than my WildTrak (2.7L). Then again, the Bronco’s aerodynamics are horrible.

The Banks cover is an interesting design - e.g., ram air cooling, integrated o-ring, etc. I enquired about it for a Bronco and they have no plans - likely due to the ram air portion of the cover hanging lower and would be a disaster off road.

Pennzoil Ultra Platinum (5w30) - changed every 5K miles.

I use Costco premium (93). Always top-tier (Exxon, Shell, etc.) when not near a Costco station.
