Changed oil for the first time today, 2500 miles. I thought the O rings were breaking down but after a closer examination it appears there's a sealant on the factory o rings. It took a while to clean up after they were removed, the housing was pretty messy. Its also a pain to get at the housing...

crawling around underneath my BR I noticed that on each upper control arm there a little plastic rod attached from the arm to a sensor of some kind. Anyone know what this is for? I have a bad feeling about these..... once the wheel well gets full of ice and snow it will tear that right off.
