Mental security + I was tracking down a caster problem with the stock front axle/aftermarket driveshaft. Was having vines on the highway. The 1 tons gave me free spin hubs and the Tazer lets me kill AWD in the transfer case and have true 2HI. Nice and smooth on the highway now. But yes a V8 +...
File or grind that area of the skid down where it’s rubbing, re-paint and re-install. Not a big deal. Looks like you just need to open up the opening more.
Same 🤣 My 8:50 alarm reminder saved me today. Putting in a car seat in the pitch black at night has been slightly annoying the past few weeks. These will be a very welcome addition!
As someone that runs 40s & KMC Beadlocks on a fully built 392 on 1 ton axles…I’d strongly discourage them on a BRaptor. Stick to 38s or 39” BFGs at most. 38” Ridge Grapplers should be very close in size to 39” KO2s under the vehicle. And Ridge Grapplers are a way better tire IMO. They’re load...
I’d argue that comes down more to proper setup/caster/alignment than anything. I have a 392 on one ton axles & 40s and can have 1 finger on the wheel going down the interstate…but I know how to use an angle finder and dial in my front end. Did an home alignment too with a tape measurer. Most...
If you’re changing them, change both lower and upper + the trac bar so you can increase articulation. Most aftermarket manufacturers use better joints that will flex more than stock.
As to adjustable vs fixed, if you or your installer know what you’re doing go adjustable. You can dial in pinion...
Personally I’m not a fan of underhood mounted air compressors. Exposed to lots of dust and heat. Almost every mount I’ve seen mounts them very close to the passenger side turbo on the 2.7. I have an ARB hard mounted under the seat of my 392. Ended up buying a different portable compressor today...
I was just curious if it would fit there for storage. Don’t plan on running it from there. I ended up buying a different portable compressor today that will fit with no issues.
Can an ARB Portable Twin fit inside the cargo basket? Dimensions of your cargo basket and the ARB carrying case online seem like it will be a *very* close fit.
New Bern, NC here. Have a 23’ Eruption Green 4 door BadSquatch in shipment now! It will be the family vehicle/wife’s daily. Have a few small mods on the way already. Can’t wait to see how it does at Uwharrie this year! Keeping this one mostly stock aside from some cosmetic changes and practical...
Frame mounted are the way to go for moderate to serious use. If you’re off-roading a few times a year body mount is fine. Just be mindful of their limitations.
I had a set welded to my 392 Wrangler frame. Will probably go with a set of bolt on frame mounted ones for the wife’s Bronco. This pic...
