  1. Dont break your side mirrors.... entire housing part is $1800.00

Mine is a regular mirror with no features. I hit a tree because I forgot to fold them in while in the woods. Ford quoted me at $889. So, if anyone has a good recommendation, I'm now looking to upgrade. Auto folding via one of my switches would be great :)
  2. Tailgate paint rubbing off where it meets the glass.

The alignment seems ok. I figure a strip like you're saying is what I'll do. A bit late but...
  3. Tailgate paint rubbing off where it meets the glass.

Here's how things look now: The paint has been stripped across the entrie edge.
  4. Tailgate paint rubbing off where it meets the glass.

I didn't have it looked at... I brought my Bronco in for the window rattle issue and they really didn't accomplish anything - so I didn't have much confidence. I'll post a new pic when I'm able. For noise, mine sounds like theirs a window open back there.
  5. How Do You Prep Your Bronco for Winter Weather?

It looks like this :) Notice, at the end of the video, the crap that builds up by the wheels, doors, door knobs. Then imagine that crap filled with all the chemicals mentioned by previous posters.
  6. Door Ajar when doors off?

Happened to me yesterday. I've taken my doors off many times. Yesterday morning, I took off the front driver and passenger doors and got two errors. One message stated the Passenger door was ajar, although the small red icon that also displayed shows what appears to be a static image of the...
  7. BMW: 0 vs Bronco: 1 (rear end incident)

I had the same beemer moment with my 1989, in 1989. The guy was on his phone in the left lane waiting to turn left. As I was passing, he changed his mind, came into my lane and my front bumper dragged along the entire side of his car. He couldn't even open the passenger side doors. Barely a...
  8. MGV sucks

I think the OP knows window tints etc are not really going to help much on long drives in the heat. But, to me the benefits of mgv make it the best choice. The 'sucky' part has easy solves. This past weekend, in the 90s, I drove all around the Catskills in NY with no top or doors. The...
  9. Doors off, making friends!

Today, I made a friend: On this same road going to work, for years, I pass a woman who is jogging without any exchange other than me giving her space on the rd. Today she waved at me 😊
  10. Hammock Camping in the Bronco

Using the FORSCAN software, there is a "Police Mode" that can be enabled. Not sure what it exactly does but it might turn off all the lights.
  11. Tailgate paint rubbing off where it meets the glass.

Anyone else seeing this? It looks like the points where it is rubbing the paint off is soft rubber. You can see the clean spot where it rubs.
  12. Hammock Camping in the Bronco

In this pic, on the left, you can see the strap coming down where I looped through the passenger grab handle. I have the other end looped through the back left grab handle. May not be wise using the grab handles, but it held me at 190lbs.
  13. Guess the badlands isn't as weather rated as I hoped.

As said by Kodiakisland, the only issue was not being able to clear the inside windshield.
  14. Guess the badlands isn't as weather rated as I hoped.

I also dont have electronic extras. I was caught in a 20 minute torrent of rain with no top or doors. Needless to say, the windows were also down 😀 After the rain, it was still over a half hour to get home. I wiped everything with a towel, and then got dinner. Dream Weaving on the way to...
  15. Hammock Camping in the Bronco

I'm 6'. If I straighten my legs, my heels will rest on the bar.
  16. Hammock Camping in the Bronco

    Just checked. Works well!
  17. VIOLENT Window Rattle

I had been contacted by Ford after posting a video on another thread. Here is my latest comment from that thread. https://www.bronco6g.com/forum/threads/rattling-windows.39139/post-1391019
  18. Rattling Windows

Thank you, very much, for your attention. And thank you to Bronco6G for providing such a great platform for crowdsourcing data about the Bronco. My report was addressed in less than two weeks after posting here. Thanks to our Ford rep, here on Bronco6G, I got an appointment with my local...
