I just edited my post to mention Pike's Peak and saw you did as well so I deleted it. lol
People that run N/A have power at the starting line and drastically lose power as they go up whereas turbos keep on pulling to the finish.
Actually they are far superior at high altitude. N/A can only pull in air at atmospheric pressure. Turbos will keep forcing air into the engine when N/A cannot.
The turbos will also perform far better in the mountains than naturally aspirated. Maybe not so much in the Appilachia but go to the Rockies and you'll quickly notice power drop as you go up. Turbos will keep pulling no problem.
I hear ya. We did that when I had a FJ Cruiser. Drove down to Florida, slept at Cocoa Beach, watched the sun rise, went down to Orlando for a few hours, then drove to the east coast and watched the sun set. Watching the sun rise and set over the ocean on the same day was pretty cool.
Right, I get that. The point is your initial comment was not relevant to my own. I was talking about the roof getting ruined by trees and you mentioned MIC wrap the whole truck due to pinstripes. It's as applicable as deserts are to the east coast.
Moab is the most arid place I did trails on. And there were no trees. The point is, where I live the tree branches can hang over the trail, scuffing your roof. Not necessarily the sides. Which was the whole point of my post being with trees and thus, nothing to do with the desert.
I haven't had heated seats in maybe 8 years. It was a 2011 Subaru STI. But I would just turn it on while I let the car heat up at full and then turn it off once I got in the car. I never needed it to stay on so I imagine I'd probably do the same with the Bronco. But I get what you're saying for...
I thought about that but the only interior I can tolerate is the Badlands. I've been looking forward to this for so long that I don't want to make any compromises that would make me wish I did something else. I don't mind two-tone interiors if they are designed well. With the style of the...
I haven't placed my order yet because I'm still battling this very thing. I like it a lot but I don't buy vehicles over 30K usually. I can afford it, I just don't want to. It eats into my travel money. And it doesn't seem worth $50K+ to me.
