I would just like to say that I love what's going on here, if only for the fact that this dealership deserves every bit of it. I hope things work out for OP.
While I get where you’re coming from, I find it more refreshing than just another “Ford doesn’t care about us! They’ve ruined my life with this inexplicable wait time” rants.
The rock chips feedback is plenty concerning. I’m going with the mud flap workaround posted above as soon as I get my vehicle. Like within a day or two.
Unsure of bolt size, but have you seen the wheel without the ring? It looks worse than with it. I’m planning to go the route of painting the rings black.
Before the pitchforks and torches come out, just understand that this is feedback from one dealer. I'm not saying that OP is being misled or anything. Just that there are a number of variables and interpretations that can occur at any level of the chain.
Thanks for starting this thread. Base doesn’t get enough love. Oxford white base squatch 4 door scheduled for build the week of Jan 17th. Only added the 2.7, floor liners, and aux switches. These pictures will get me through the next two months. Sick pictures!
You did much better than I probably would’ve done. That being said, I’m having a difficult time not staring at the bottom of that wheel. I might pay someone to do mine eventually.
All seriousness though- thank you for posting. This is something that’s been on my mind lately.
37 yrs old, 4 door. I have two kids, but even without them I’d be buying the four door. I like to conveniently throw my shit in the back, and sometimes that means finagling some 2x4s or a surfboard in the vehicle.
But just as importantly, I think the four doors look much better.
