Average family may walk into a dealership wanting a Bronco, but then walk out with a Bronco Sport, because it ticks all of the boxes, is "dirt road capable" (which is as far as they would go anyways) and is more practical.
4 door v. 4 door with Auto comparison... the price difference is...
I stalled out several times the first few months with my 2016 Manual Trans Mustang. That 4th bullet is the one that I would be worried about. It is hard to avoid that... It is not instinctive (at first) to push the clutch down at intersections then release, then push the clutch in again to get...
1. You are likely to get a better ride on regular roads and better mileage. I can't argue those huge Sasquatch tires don't look "superdeluxe" though.
2. On the other hand, if you get a base Bronco, it will look closest to the original Bronco, so there is that.
3. If "Manuals are cool" what about...
I am planning on getting the base with nothing on it.
I want the joy of the anticipation of upgrading it over time.
And my initial joy will be the same as yours.
Plus I will get mine for $30K, which means the kitchen can be redone. It will help the whole family!
If Broncos are like Lego Sets...
The First Edition and other high end trims are like the super complex city buildings or Star Wars sets that are made in exactly one way and are not torn apart and built into something else. They are basically art pieces, no doubt, but the work is all done once...
The way Bronco is used, I would often leave in my driveway in the middle of the day and not bother to park it inside. For such a big vehicle, I would think that would be common.
And let's face it, many of us want to others to see our Bronco in the driveway.
I have one car in the driveway right now... and I DON'T have a garage door opener in it. I removed it.
Think this through... you are out of the house... But that Bronco is outside... With a soft top... or maybe no top... You don't lock the door from the garage to the house... Connect these...
Come on man.
You expect a super deluxe 4 door manual transmission sasquatch with roof rack AND you expect that monstrosity to fit in your little suburban garage next to your edger, recycle bin, bicycle and your rolling perennial planting stool on wheels? Really?
Keep that thing outside and...
Very rarely is gas used to produce electricity, and only as an inefficient emergency backup, like a generator.
Much more often it is Solar, Wind, Nuclear and Coal. In the case of Coal, it is declining, but even if you have a "coal powered" EV, the emissions are spewed in a very...
When I drove my Volt, they gave me the option of paying 1/2 if I just programed my car to charge when I was sleeping. Powerplants have to stay on 24/7 even though 80% of demand is reduced from 1am to 5am.
When we get to that point, you would probably be able to swap out the ICE for an electric setup retro-kit.
I drove Volts as daily drivers for 6 years. 90% of the time, even with very limited electric only range of 40 miles, I was still able to avoid using gas. Twice, I went over 2,500 miles...
1. 10+ pages of comments about colors for the second time this week? You'all are crazy about Broncos.
2. I repeat what I wrote in the other super long color thread, my favorite color is mud. You are over-thinking this. The best color is your Bronco covered in real mud. That is what will give you...
