  1. Broke my Bronco’s tie rod on rack and pinion 🤬

a fresh off the lot M3 or cts-v or corvette zr1/z06 would overheat within a few laps at high speed as well. tldr… people bought a sports car and opted to not pay extra for the track packages and then complained it overheated on the track. Any rational person would not have been shocked.
  2. Broke my Bronco’s tie rod on rack and pinion 🤬

Nevermind the 2 videos I posted a few pages back of 2 wranglers with broken steering boxes. Not $50 tie rods… steering boxes. fj, 4 runner, wrangler, bronco, Colorado, you name it and you can find examples of broken OE steering parts. It’s designed that way. Having a couple examples pop up in a...
  3. Broke my Bronco’s tie rod on rack and pinion 🤬

Yes they do. example 1 - example 2 (go to 10min)- Funny enough, both of those breaks are the steering box and not the Pittman arm.
  4. Broke my Bronco’s tie rod on rack and pinion 🤬

People love to hate on things and maybe it's a symptom of the mall crawler group thinking they have real off road experience. As many have said, broken tie rods is fairly normal whether it's a 4 runner, a colorado, or any other ifs vehicle. Its also fairly normal to break standard wrangler...
  5. Mid Michigan - Kalkaska ORV route in Bronco Black Diamond

This is why I went non-sasquatch Badlands. The Badlands will do anything I ever do, and the sasquatch wheel/tire combo will just make it worse to daily, worse fuel economy, worse to tow and worse on michigan trails where width generally matters more than ground clearance. While increasing...
  6. Mid Michigan - Kalkaska ORV route in Bronco Black Diamond

Your Durango is a more aerodynamic shape as well as having better gearing for cruising and is lower to the ground. I'm not sure how fast OP drives on the freeway but 17.9 seems a bit low from what others have been claiming so until there's plenty of fuelly evidence I am not holding my breath for...
  7. Mid Michigan - Kalkaska ORV route in Bronco Black Diamond

I had a 2018 ZR2 diesel up until a few weeks ago, have a 2dr badlands on order. The DSSV shocks on the zr2 are its best feature. It rode super well on the road and handled any trails I put it on without issue. When I say it rode well on the road, I mean it rode smooth and with no harshness on...
  8. 2022 4.7 Diff on any build?

I mean, it’s just the diff ratio on the badlands so I can see it being literally just an option you can pick from with no cost. I would have an easier time believing it was a bug if it didn’t say “available on all bronco models” for the 4.7 ratio.
  9. 2022 4.7 Diff on any build?

Are you sure you are on the 2022 B&P? Like I said, if I go to the 21 B&P it will not let me. It also says "Available on all Bronco models" on the 4.7 Diff option.
  10. 2022 4.7 Diff on any build?

For MY21 yes, but they are now offering the diffs through ford performance and it would be strange for them to reintroduce the bug in B&P that allows us to select the 4.7 diffs.
  11. 2022 4.7 Diff on any build?

Is it a bug where you can put the 4.7 ratio diffs on any build combination now? I confirmed if you go to the 21 B&P page it says sasquatch only when you have the 2.7T/10spd, but on the 2022 B&P it says "optional on all models" and lets me add it to my Non-Sasquatch 2.7T 2 Door.
  12. 2021 Bronco snaps both tie rods valiantly on extreme obstacle (Queens Throne obstacle on K2 trail)

Exactly. If you take a hit hard enough to break something it's better to let the tie rod break than a ball joint or upper or lower control arm or knuckle or possibly transfer that energy into the frame and bend something you don't want to bend. In most situations if you are moving and the tie...
  13. First Tow (of RZR) with the Bronco - Loving the 2.7!

4 seat rzr is 2800lbs or is that with trailer? My yxz is ~1500lbs, just find it oddly heavy. Anyway, good to hear about the positive experience. I have a 2dr Badlands non Sasquatch that’ll be here probably next summer. I’m going to be getting rid of my Colorado ZR2 with the 2.8L diesel that...
  14. The Jeep Wrangler Has More Engine Options But A Huge Gap In The Middle

You can always point to a bigger fish, but that doesn't mean you should not do your part. We have a solution for passenger vehicles that helps. We don't that I know of for cargo ships. The mentality that "X is bigger than I, so why should I care" spreads like wildfire among the lazy.
  15. The Jeep Wrangler Has More Engine Options But A Huge Gap In The Middle

I enjoy the outdoors, camping, orving, hunting, whatever, you name it. I guess I'm not lazy and do my part to preserve it. If that means some minor maintenance on a vehicle every 50k or more miles then so be it. Good for you. I don't have emissions checks in michigan either, doesn't change how...
  16. The Jeep Wrangler Has More Engine Options But A Huge Gap In The Middle

My Colorado needed a def line replaced due to a failed heater at about 40k miles but it was covered under warranty. I can’t say any of the other vehicles I’ve owned had any real issues that would fall outside of the normal random crap a car needs. I also cannot support being lazy and removing...
  17. The Jeep Wrangler Has More Engine Options But A Huge Gap In The Middle

This sounds like design issues from 1 manufacturer. I have never heard of this or had issues from any other manufacturer and I've owned "modern" Diesels from Ford, VAG, BMW, Mercedes and GM. I will also go back to my prior statement Emphasis on properly specced equipment by the OEM. You...
  18. The Jeep Wrangler Has More Engine Options But A Huge Gap In The Middle

Almost every part of this statement is factually incorrect. Diesel exhaust has more ash in it, yes. DI Gas engines also have far more ash in the exhaust than a typical port injection gas engine. Either way, it has no effect on Diesel oil change intervals which are often longer than gas engines...
  19. The Jeep Wrangler Has More Engine Options But A Huge Gap In The Middle

First, every modern engine diesel or gas has an EGR system and modern DI Gas engines without additional port injection have build up issues in the intake. The 2.3L in the bronco will have buildup issues and still has an EGR system the same as any diesel. DI Gas engines create more ash in the...
  20. Another stupid delivery question

Based on the last MAP update post I saw they are targeting 550 units a shift with 2 shifts per day. Let's assume 200k to build and no parts shortages that prevent that rate. The below numbers are unachievable so take with a grain of salt. At a 60/40 split it's gonna take 303 days to get...
