  1. where are you FORD?

I understand your frustration. I work for an tractor dealer and we are having a lot of trouble getting parts. At least you understand this but the communication black hole is a big issue. When my 2.7 in my BD blew last July, I was lucky. The dealer rep was not very responsive but when I opened a...
  2. Bronco is CAKED in hardened mud!

Don't ever use a brush or rag until all of the mud is rinsed off. Soak it before trying to rinse. Save the brush and/or rags until all that is left is the mud film. Any grit left will scratch when picked up by a brush or rag. As far as leaving it for a while, depending on what the mud contains...
  3. Synthetic winch rope demystified

Thanks. I like to use snatch blocks because like you said, you are not in a race and slower is usually safer. Also, sometimes you need it because of where the pull or winch vehicle has to be spotted. They are handy.
  4. Synthetic winch rope demystified

Sorry if this is a stupid question for you that are experienced with synthetics, but how about using snatch blocks with it? Would you need one with a wider pulley or are there special made ones. Never have been around synthetic ropes but have used cables quite a bit.
  5. Lincoln model on same platform

That's going to leave a mark.
  6. Bronco meets cow (not in a good way)

It is surprising but I have seen several vehicles that hit livestock without airbag deployment. I don't know for sure but I would guess it would be that large animals are impacted above the sensors? Good to see that you are ok and your Bronco should be fairly easily repairable, it just may take...
  7. So, I took my own advice!!

Same here. Buying fuel from the same station and early this fall dropped 3-4 mpg's in one tank full. 21/22 to 18/19. It has stayed consistent with no other difference than temps and yes I know that will also make a difference but it will not stay consistent as neither does the temp.
  8. So, I took my own advice!!

MY '16 GAS SUPER DUTY IDENTIFIES AS A PRIUS.
  9. Post your Bomb Cyclone mega snow storm Bronco pics 🌨️ 🌬️

Idaho has it all. The only state split between north and south by a time zone (pacific and mountain) and in the PNW.
  10. Post your Bomb Cyclone mega snow storm Bronco pics 🌨️ 🌬️

No body but those that live in the mountain time zone has even heard of it.
  11. Hill Decent Control (on auto transmission) = the most quirky Bronco feature I learned from my Off-Roadeo experience

Don't know about engines making a difference but my button has a different picture, no clock and I have the standard transfer case. I can set speed with it and if I don't set a speed it will stop when I let up on the throttle. This feature makes me dislike an auto trans less for trail use.
  12. Hill Decent Control (on auto transmission) = the most quirky Bronco feature I learned from my Off-Roadeo experience

Advanced transfer case must be the difference. My BD has standard case and it has 1 pedal driving and with an auto trans it works great for crawling along or going down steep inclines without having to constantly be on the brakes. Not really needed with manual trans.
  13. Rut could go wrong? "Charging System: Service Now" fault & disabled Bronco from muddy good time

If this is an area meant for this use then I'm ok with it. Like I said, mudding is fun, just do it in areas where it is appropriate. Sorry, I should have been more clear.
  14. Why does the auto start stop feature bother so many people?

All true. I read it on internet headlines.
  15. Rut could go wrong? "Charging System: Service Now" fault & disabled Bronco from muddy good time

Good response. Doing this on a road unless it is on your property is irresponsible. Also, how easy would it have been to hit a rut and launch thru a fence. Mudding is fun but be more responsible. It gives us a bad name.
  16. Bronco Fire / Meltdown From ABS Lockup Leading to Hydraulic Failure (Burst Brake Line) and Electrical Short?

A gentleman that works at the auto grinding yard said that have stacks of ev batteries and no where to go with them. He knows people at other yards and they have the same problem. Too expensive to recycle they are told.
  17. Bronco Fire / Meltdown From ABS Lockup Leading to Hydraulic Failure (Burst Brake Line) and Electrical Short?

We have scrap yards here that ev batteries are piling up because they have no where to send them.
  18. Unofficial (stuck) "InTransit" thread

Rail companies know what they are doing? Not from what I've seen. The company I work for has it's own siding and receives rail deliveries regularly. They have "lost" railcars many times and then they miraculously show up without any notification.
